The Cricket Thread

They don't get the big bucks other teams that have Test matches on their ground get as they don't own Lords, only two seasons ago they won the county championship. Playing at Lord's doesn't help as the wickets are usually good unlike some that are prepared for the home teams. With Morgan hardly playing and Malan getting in England squad the batting lacks experience along with Roland Jones and Finn being injured its a hard struggle for them.
 
And yeh checking they pay large rents at Lords and more so when playing away from Lords which happens alot if England are home touring.

Surrey are probably the most underachieving team in County Cricket, first year this year they look dominent like their money should allow
 
Is T20 now getting a little silly.
Somerset are just making it look a little daft with amount of boundaries?

Do we need to get bigger grounds for the modern game?
Tounton looks tiny!
Is there a minimum pitch size?

Really surprised that Porter the leading wicket taker in cricket over the last 2 seasons doesn't make his debut and they play Curran instead
 
Indian being pricks as usual today

After running out his opposite number with a tremendous pick up and throw, India captain Virat Kohli blew kisses to both Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow, before putting his finger to his lips to shush the crowd.

He then imitated Root's mic drop celebration at the end of the third ODI and appeared to invite Root to leave the ground with a swear word.

Plenty more to be heard about this one, you'd reckon

I can only think of Burns (Surrey) or Gubbins (Middlesex) who are openers and performing currently
