It's just the way the draw went. We've got a few tough ones drawn together in the first round but I chose to kick off with this because it is the rounds glamour tie.
If they both get that far, Appetite For Destruction is due to meet Nevermind in the quarter final.
I voted AC/DC, never been that into Metallica. We'll see if that changes come June after I've been to my first Metallica concert.

what Jordinho says is normally a fair criticism of AC/DC, but in this case it really is a perfect album, there is no filler here, it was the first album with Johnson, soon after Scotts death and the considered wisdom was they would fade away, conversely they absolutely nailed it, it is both a homage to Scott and a filthy rhythm tour de force, it's the definition of AC/DC
Master is the album that arguably brought thrash mainstream (admittedly ride the lightning was unfairly ignored and IMO has equal highs), this was Metallica taking risks and subtly shifting style, an obvious step towards the Black album and Load of later years
it's a toss up really, I voted for BiB solely because AC/DC were never better, Metallica were
