PSG don't want Ndombele that much. If they did they will pay as has been shown many times in the past with the players they really wanted. It suggests Ndombele was just considered an option for them but not an essential move.

But it’s actually being reported that they can’t shift their players to get him
And like a lot of clubs they don’t want baggage of players hanging around they don’t want

I will take that is blatantly obvious even to our, how can one put it, slightly hit and miss transfer department.

The Diaz transfer is an excellent example of the futility of trying to buy big in the January window. But not too upset as pool will be having to react prematurely.
