Tanguy Ndombele

I’ve heard it’s Barcelona for £15m ish
It’s all down to replacing FDJ who is joining United
Wow dream move. Lol.
If FDJ is leaving I hope we are going for him.

Though I won't be surprised if we end up negotiating for one of Barca's misfits.

Fdj allegedly on £354k a week. We won't go for him.
we've got a big stadium and international multi-sport events
surely we are going to increase our wages across the board, how much do you think our top earners' wages are going to be?

If you look at Liverpool, VVD is reported to be their top earner and on £220k and a few others around £200k

Compare that with Man C, CHeatski or Man U who pay selected players considerably more. Lukaku £325k, Kante £290k,Ronaldo £510k, de Gea £375k etc

I see our wage bill increasing, but more in-line with Liverpool's structure as we improve the squad (i.e. so more players getting closer to Kane on £200k), rather than paying huge amounts for selected players. Just doesn't seem Levy-like to open himself up to substantially increasing whatever cap we have in place and Liverpool have shown that you don't need to pay collosal wages at an individual levle to be successful

Mind you, all the reported salary stuff has to be taken with a punch of salt as you don't know what bonus structures etc are in place

Yep
They are so skint too so it just makes sense

They would probably need to get rid of quite a few players before a move for Ndombele would be possible, they can't currently register Kessie or Christensen because of their financial situation.

That he could be such a lazy fudger was well documented prior to his arrival at Tottenham. He'd had problems at several previous clubs before at last getting his brick together at Lyon so probably because of his exceptional talent and Poch's reputation for man-management we took a chance on him.

I recall reading an article in the Guardian in July 2019 immediately following his arrival at Tottenham but prior to his first season for us that made clear he already had significant issues with commitment and weight. These had led to several clubs to reject him before Lyon initially took him on loan. He went on to make 50 appearances for Lyon in 2018/19 helping them qualify for the CL.

Poch apparently told him he would turn him into a world class player. Four months later he was sacked. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...ele-complete-midfielder-focus-spurs-tottenham
