Anyone seen this Callejon chap play? Wiki calls him a winger/forward and given his scoring stats am hoping he's not meant to be a CF! Appears to be a more realistic alternative to move to when the Willian talks break down

This is a strange one. Not trying to defend the guy but I spoke to a senior spurs exec (who should have known for def) and he said he had signed with us. He even played in a couple of games with the Academy.. Very odd this deal..

He was out of contract, so free to play in friendlies for any club.

We know he trained with us and played in friendlies and no doubt we offered a contract, maybe even agreed one, but in the end didn't want to go through with the tribunal as the fee would be so high. The fact he only signed for two years with Liege tells me he plans on coming back to England.
