Id be ecstatic with Moutinho.

Would you be happy with Ade only though? I think thats the question and im not being greedy I just think Ade is the type that needs competition and a bit of pressure. i like Defoe but only on the right where Lennon plays - maybe they can rotate. Defoe cannot play up front alone.

id obviously prefer Adebayor + 1 but i'll take him on his own with the way things appear to be going !

i wouldn't be surprised if the Modric saga is holding up a few deals tbh, think about it - if Madrid don't meet our valuation that would dramatically alter the money we could spend on other areas so it's possible that rather than press ahead with our 'second choice' or cheaper targets we wait and see if the Modric deal goes through which in turn allows us to go for our first choice players.

obviously it's not ideal to leave it so late before completing your transfer activity but what would you honestly rather see - conclude our business early by going for our 'lesser' targets or hold out for the Modric money and go for our first choice signings ?

I'll reserve jumping on the "OMG what a brick window" bandwagon until 1st September when we can take in the whole window and make sense of whats happened.

Ahhhh fudge sake Hudd.

I think it probably is about AVB. I think that AVB has told him that right now he doesn't suit his plans, because maybe he isn't capable of pressing the way he wants. So Hudd takes the opportunity to throw a bit of a tantrum thinking he can capitalise on previous bad feeling towards AVB.

Hudd will obviously have friends in the dressing room so I hope they don't go with him on this. I just really hope it isn't about him.

I would say you're reading between the lines, but it was one bloody line. Who's to say his tweet was even anything to do with football or his career?

I seem to recall him playing on the right on the second half of a match where we were playing a team starting with W (definetely in the PL) and he crossed it for a headed goal for pav and pav reciprocated.

Hm, can't remember that, but I'll take your word for it :) (had to google reciprocated before I answered, doh)

If AVB decides on a forward three how about on the left so he can cut in and do what he likes to do best more often? With JD left / Ade middle / VDV or Lennon right? Could be tasty.

Could be, but I'd rather stick Bale out there. But then again he could be on the right and cut in, but where would that leave Lennon and vdv, and if vdv is moved into the midfield where's Siggurdson gonna go??? Glad I'm not the manager :D

Mido scored some great goals for us

Yeah I know, also this little gem:
"Honestly, Campbell is the easiest defender I have played against" "I'm not scared of him. If that fires him up, then let him prove [me wrong]." Absolutely loved him.

But Soldado isn't quoted as saying that he rejected Spurs in that article either.

It is only the ESPN author and headline writer who created that false impression by putting a huge amount of spin on the story.

Yeah, i wasn't saying that he said it, more that it had been reported by ESPN that he said it, hence why some might have thought that this was actually the case even though it wasnt.

Ha! Me too. I'd totally forgot about Sig to be honest.
