So we called HSV to tell them we wanted to sell VDV...Surely that shows we were damn confident of bringing in someone big and needed to free up wages/make up the fee.

The impact Rafa had in the first season was immense. Less so last season but with both him and Modric gone I'd sacrifice a spare striker of it meant we could get a world class player like Moutinho.

Dont want much do you! the point of having 4 Centre Backs is so that if one gets injured you have cover. Not to just buy another one every time. We have Vertonghen and Caulker who can come in and by the looks of it we will still have Dawson.

We could do with another Striker thats true, but i would rather we wait for quality that just buy someone for the sake of it. We have wide cover in Sigg and Townsend, and if we get Moutinho along with Dembele and Sigg we have cover for VDV's position.

yeh but they pretty much get everything right dont they! haha.

I reckon they need some news for Jim White and it was called too early. "Breaking News, Spurs Sign Moutinho" at 10pm shocker.

So IF Lloris signs.... Do we get rid of Gomes, Friedel or Cudicini? And who would take them this late in the day?

Gomes needs to go for his career and for us to save on his Wages. Cudicini will probably stay and retire at the end of the season much like Friedel. Next Summer we will need a backup to Lloris if we get him.

would be quite difficult to have a medical, not unless the buying club had representatives in Brazil right now
