I'd rather keep Lennon's pace on the right wing - none of those players has played there successfully in their careers (or at all?).

but under AVB i think the full backs will provide most width....playing one striker means that his attacking comrades like need to join him in the box, thus other players like the full backs will need to provide the crosses

Buying Sigurdsson, Dembele AND Moutinho in one window would be surprising, but would explain the loaning of Huddlestone. Still seems like we would have too many midfielders though, unless perhaps Dembele could operate on the wing?

If we're planning to go to a 4-3-3 we'd need 6 midfielders at the least, which would make sense.

Not as surprising as Hazard, Marin, Oscar, Moses to compete with Ramires, Lampard, Mata, Malouda, Benayoun and Kakuta.

Mate, playing Adebayor or Sigurdsson on the right wing is a recipe for disaster. Dani Alves gets forward well for Barcelona, but they still have competent right wingers

Couldn't agree more. Still don't understand the people who are desperate for us to spend £20m on Willian... a player who is not guaranteed to be an upgrade on Lennon. I understand us getting a back-up winger, but Lennon is one of our best players; replacing him is an extremely low priority in my view. And £20m is way too much for a backup.

It's Lloris, winger(or wide forward if you prefer) and a striker now.

Sadly I think the only striker we'll get will be a Saha mk2.

Lloris and a back-up wide player will be pretty decent so long as Ade doesn't get injured for the next 6 months.

I've figured it out! Instead of buying a back-up striker to Adebayor, we're just gonna sign more midfielders so that we can play a 4-6-0 formation like Barcelona do

Fair enough if AVB wants to upgrade parts of the team - but Lennon is probably one of our most consistent performers.

With 3 in the center, that's an awful idea. Six players getting in each others way in the center is a recipe for disaster, you need width to stretch the defence and full backs don't do that well enough alone

I think Dembele signing signals that Moutinho wont be coming in.

I agree with this, Moutinho seems very unlikely. But thus I think it is even more important we find some more creativity and striking firepower. I know Bale/Ade etc have got goals in the past, and they will again but nevertheless we are taking a risk if we do not add to the options we currently have.
