Dos Santos is such an enigma for us. For his sake this window is vital for him, either he stays and gets some chances or he leaves. Impossible to speculate which way that might go.

It was sarcasm but not directed at you personally.


Looks like a LW to me too so why exactly would we spend 20m on him? makes no sense (even if he can play RW or behind the striker). FFS just use that cash to buy another striker of a cm.

Apologies then, took it as aimed at me.

LW we have Bale and thats it. It seems width is an essential feature of AVBs system, and even under Harry a lack of cover for Lennon and Bale was a disaster.

I dont know if this lad is good, but for a reasonable deal if we want him I support the idea of backing up the wings.

Where did you see €20m?

I get what you are saying but on the other hand I really don't think it is yet clear what AVB's priorities are for our attacking play, especially with Modric leaving.

To be honest (and accepting I dont know the player) it seems ridiculous for us to spend £20m a forward we dont need on the wings, wont be ahead of Adebayor and isnt even much of a goalscorer...

I agree it would be surprising, I guess it depends on what AVb has in mind for addressing Modric's departure? Would also be confusing if Leandro is being targeted as reports suggest, but maybe AVB sees Willian as someone would could, in some way, fill the void left by Modric. Have to wait and see I guess.
