Levy is a 3/10 for transfer dealings? We always sign players for a good fee and sell players a lot of the time than more than they are worth. But I'm sure he should hurry up and bend over on every deal spoken about in the press to satisfy some impatient fans.....

maybe an extra 3 million to quickly tie up the Vertonghen deal....yes, a lot of money but im sure he could flog GDS to a Spanish team for around 3 million

anyway, in this case with Vertonghen i think its simply a case of Levy meeting his match in the Ajax hierarchy. Two immovable objects on either side=stalemate

Perhaps they want it cash now and we want to have it as add-ons / performance clauses later hence avoiding having to lose capital?

I really don't know but I'm sure Levy isn't intentionally trying to fudge us over while at the same time avoiding being fudged over himself by greedy agents/directors over a player who has 1 year left on his contract.
 
Besides everyone is guessing, some reports are saying deal has been agreed. All just casting assumptions based on the unreliable media....

we'll be trying to sell him anyway so it'll still be 3mil on a transfer we could potentially knock off


this deal isn't taking any longer than any other deals which take place - it is just that with twitter etc you are updated on every little movement from either camp so it seems a lot longer than it really is.

That's why we're paying for him now, in a year other clubs can come in and offer twice as much as us in wages and sign on fees. The total outlay will be pretty much the same, except we get the player NOW if we can get this sorted.

but Vertonghen keeps insisting that Tottenham is the only team he wants to join....in 6 months time he can sign a pre contract with Spurs and because he will be free im sure Levy will ramp up his deal and offer him an amazing package. So why dont both parties just wait?
 
IMO it shows just how bogus ITK is when they say any deal has been done.

I guarantee, no contracts between teams are signed over until at least next Thursday.

Because games at International level are yet to be completed. You would have to be mental to do anything right now.

People shouldn't expect anything sooner.

Go have 5 days of the forum

Any player that does move would not really be of interest to our 25 man squad let alone starting eleven.

Same for when the Euros start don't really expect unless player is out.
