pretty true
Levy is a 3/10 for transfer dealings? We always sign players for a good fee and sell players a lot of the time than more than they are worth. But I'm sure he should hurry up and bend over on every deal spoken about in the press to satisfy some impatient fans.....
Or may be, just may be - we cannot afford what they're asking without compromising our remaining transfer budget

But why do we quibble over ?ú1m or so, its ridiculous especially as it draws deals out, etc..
Good point, what does it matter throwing away a couple of million here and there. If it was your business I'm sure you'd be doing the same thing....But why do we quibble over ?ú1m or so, its ridiculous especially as it draws deals out, etc..
maybe an extra 3 million to quickly tie up the Vertonghen deal....yes, a lot of money but im sure he could flog GDS to a Spanish team for around 3 million
THFC News @THFC_Rumours
Vertonghen deal completed, confirmation coming soon
Apparently...
Perhaps they want it cash now and we want to have it as add-ons / performance clauses later hence avoiding having to lose capital?
I really don't know but I'm sure Levy isn't intentionally trying to fudge us over while at the same time avoiding being fudged over himself by greedy agents/directors over a player who has 1 year left on his contract.
lets wait a year then and pick him up for nothing
That's why we're paying for him now, in a year other clubs can come in and offer twice as much as us in wages and sign on fees. The total outlay will be pretty much the same, except we get the player NOW if we can get this sorted.
This has Arshavin written all over it.
thats what i was thinking, and actually i think we dodged a bullet
Maybe we did, but we'll never know. The chance to link up at club level with Pavlyuchenko could have made a big difference to both of them
