This is my big fear about our lack of activity this window - the message it sends to our top players is dreadful. Where its because of inability to push on, or lack of desire to progress, we're going to stay around this sort of level for the foreseeable future. If you're someone like Eriksen, why would you hang around?

Assessing the market as it is, the types of players we are linked to, and the transfer fees and salaries we offer, this is the type of side I expect to see lining up at the start of the 2019/2020 season

Verts and Dembele aren't running down their contracts. We've just started only giving short ones to players over 30.
 
Transfer Deadline day is here. Even if we don't sign anyone today, we still have the memories.

they both have 1 year left though, and Eriksen 2 years. The point remains that we could ahve to replace all those 4 next summer

We could do with 4 out. But ideally it needs to be Janssen, Nkoudou, Sissoko and Llorente
