Stadium Thread

I dunno. I was there for the Chelsea game - don't remember noticing the adverts once, and I suspect it would be the same for any potential wrap-around LCD screen. In fact, might be better because it would be mounted above the floodlights - might be even easier to ignore it than the screens, which are directly in your line of sight if you're seated in the majority of the stadium.

And of course, the benefit would be for non-sporting events - having that 360-degree LCD screen would allow for the audience to seamlessly observe events at pitch-level regardless of distance and angle, and so on.

I get your point though mate - and it's definitely a possibility. It might just be that I don't notice the electronic adverts at sports events in general.

Couldn't tell you who advertises on our electronic hoardings now, for instance.
It is probably turned off to save on the lecky bill

Okay so we're all different. Personally I find the three levels of electronic banners tracing around the stadium way OTT and so irritating they spoil the whole experience for me, to the extent they make me think twice about going.

Yep, when I'm getting ready for the lane, I'm all excited about the stadium, the build up of the day, the atmosphere, the roar of the crowd, the anticipation of a good performance, a great result, but then I suddenly remember the three levels of electronic banners, and decide to stay home.

Are you serious?
Why wouldn't I be?.

It's just one of several things that bug me tbf. Another is the truly ghastly American razz-ma-tazz style pre-match build-up. Especially if I happen to be stuck way up in the gods where the tannoy is excessively loud. These things have an accumulative impact on the overall experience.

But hey, it's probably just me getting too old and crotchety for the modern way of life .:p

That Guangzhou Evergrande is certainly unique. Will light up which is cool:

But from the seating areas it looks like you're inside the womb...

I loath the pre match build up.
