Squad

Not huge if the youth are good. Numbers made up with the likes of moore, donley, philips, abbott. Gray and bergvall might be eligible.
Gray and Bergvall will be in 2 years
The others are all still under 21 and I think will be next season too

Surely, next season Gray and Bergvall would have completed 2 years registration with the club. That will mean they will revert to List B opening up 2 more List A spaces. That is as good as getting 2 more club trained which they will both be the season after anyway.

Where there might be an issue is with Scarlett, Phillips and Devine. If they don't make the grade then we don't populate the club trained buckets as quick as we would have liked to have done.

Be interesting to see if there are any younger squads than Spurs in this season's CL. Probably not would be my guess.

3 years do be club trained isn’t it?

Club trained yes.

The intricacy is with the List B. They have to be List A players last and this season. They will still be U21's again next season but will have completed 2 years with Spurs (and no loans). Therefore they move from List A to List B for one season and then become club trained. That's the 2 spaces created.

You sure?
We need 4 club trained players to name 25

I think we only have Austin this season. The way I see it....

Bergval
24/25 - List A (18)
25/26 - List A (19)
26/27 - List B (20 - 2 years registration completed)
27/28 - List B or Club Trained (21 but born after 1st Jan)

Gray - 1 month younger
24/25 - List A or Assoc Trained
25/26 - List A or Assoc Trained
26/27 - List B or Assoc Trained
27/28 - List b or Club Trained or Assoc Trained

Have a look at this and see what you think - https://documents.uefa.com/r/Regula...League-2025/26/Article-31-Player-lists-Online
31.12 is the List B clause

I could be wrong, but I think that is how it works.

Yeah, looks right
But club trained is the key
That’s why we name less players for Europe or we will play more kids

Yeah, agree that this season is the big problem as it is 22 seniors. That is compounded by the Vuskovic, Takai, Yang etc not having 2 years registration. They can't help in CL unless they are prioritised over a player that has to come off the A list e.g. Davies. That won't happen.

Then you have the other issue that Phillips has had 18 months of loans and we think that precludes him from being list B. He'll probably miss out.

So we'll depend on Scarlett, Devine and Donley as the oldest U21's probably to make up the CL numbers. Otherwise we have to keep hold of Lanks, Moore, Abbott etc and they may miss out on loans.

It will be an interesting watch how Lange and Frank shuffle this pack for a CL campaign.

I think it’s a mess and whatever we do it will hinder a youngsters career

Just been chatting to a geordie mate
They are in an even worse state than us
No club trained players in their squad

I didn't get back after your last response to me.

I think your last statement there is the crux of it. I'm not going to do this, but I bet if I analysed every CL team you'd see many clubs in the same position as Spurs and the Geordies with club trained. Just off the top of my head, Pool have just sold Trent, Kelleher and Quansah whilst Elliott is linked away. How much pressure does that put on the replacement club trained players to operate at that level, if they even have them?

I know you've said it's a mess with the different quota boxes for PL and UEFA, but I bet we're not alone. In fact we might even be in better shape than some. It will be nice winning the CL with the youngest squad ever

My starting XI if GW sign
——————Vick——————
Porro——Cuti——VDV——Spence
——kulu——Gibbs——Bergval
Kudus—————————-Tel
——————Son——————-
6 players that can change places in the game.. hard to defend against
Decent while we have the ball.... Terrible for the 40 to 50 percent of the game when we don't.

Arsenal are taking 30. We'll probably take the same. Then make a decision on who stays. Who needs to go on loan.
Those available for sale have probably been decided. Although may depend on bids. Gil is injured at the moment so makes it difficult.
IMO we should give him away on a free but have a reasonable sell on clause in there.
