He improved from dogs hit to just brick. The team surrounding him went from excellent to meh making him not so standout brick. But best believe he was still fudging awful.to be fair his first touch was appalling, he couldn't pass and he looked like Bambi on ice running with the ball. That he did actually become such a pivot in the team was as much to do with the poor recruitment that went on around him as it did with his improving his impact on games.
He deserved his player of the season award because he did have that impact, but it was literally a peak that last 30 games and then he went back to being an average squad player.
