Lineker did this just before World Cup 1986 and played through it. It's more about whether you need a soft bandage or a hard cast (for health and safety reasons, to do with harm you can do to others) than the injury itself.

I fractured my right forearm playing rugby in my younger days, was the 2nd game of the season so probably mid-September time. I was back playing after Xmas. I had a plate and 6 pins put in my arm. I assume a professional footballer will have slightly quicker powers of recovery than me. I was back driving in just under two weeks of the op.
the biggest issue I had was wiping my ass in the days just after the op!

Son is way ahead of Lamela and Sissoko for various reasons of course, injures in Lamela's case but more important than that, his form last season is streets ahead of anything we've seen from Lamela or Sissoko.

Son really lifted us today. Such an excellent player when in form. Hopefully he'll continue his form from last season.
