He was - due to the fog and due to the fact, he was crap.

His decline is scary.

I have not read the OMT, but that chance in the 5th minute. 4 against 2 and he just have to play a simple pass to

a totally unmarked Johnson. And he fluffed it.

Does not challenge his direct opponent anymore either and also seems to lost a yard of pace.

this is it, you either back yourself and smash that goal in, or you dont and you let someone else in a better position take the easier opportunity to score.

He is in decline and should have passed that to Johnson who has proven this year from that angle he is more than likely going to score than not.

Right now, Ange's judgement is being severely questioned by us. When you think back, one of his earliest judgments was which player looked like the leader of the pack when watching them on the pre-season tour. In my opinion, he couldn't have got that one more wrong

Worse still, Ange now can't operate a meritocracy because he is his captain.

Sonny is actually a proven good sub. It's where he should be now in this setup.

I always get the impression that a fresh Sonny in the last 30 mins of a game can be quite impactful. I'm sure there was a brace and a hatrick at some point in the last couple of years. Perhaps that was slightly before though.

I also think the opposition won't like the idea of him coming on.

When you think about where he is in his career, it is perfectly logical that rotation is key for him. He's not getting any.

Given the injuries we have and the lack of senior players fit, I think politically Ange is almost forced to start his captain. I agree - he is not worth his starting position, and if I were manager I'd most certainly be playing him from the bench and starting Werner or better still when fit, Moore. But I wonder if there's also a fine balance within the dressing room in terms of keeping everyone onside? There has to be a reason beyond performances, because he clearly does not deserve to start at this moment.

What bothers me is if will ruin his legacy in some eyes

I can understand why he was started, if we could have knicked a goal you replace son with werner after 60 mins and use his pace against those lumbering cbs.
Didn't work.
He really does need dropped though.
