Son Heung-Min

Son will be going into over over over over drive in South Korea, to ensure every team mate loves Korea and to ensure every Korean loves Spurs.

This content popped up on my timeline. Very nerdy, but vaguely interesting that Son feels so strongly about his boots. He says he really struggled last year in the boots Adidas made him wear.

not surprising. i live in south east asia and my son and nephew are also boot nerds. first thing they do when we visit japan is hit the Mizuno or Kamu (football specialist ) stores to get specifically made-in-japan Mizuno boots. with the increase in tourists (and social media), the shops have imposed a one-pair-a-customer policy to prevent scalpers. same thing with asics tiger mexico sneakers too. this youtube channel is very popular with the boys as well. the guy is a true boot connoiseur and collector.

son is too nice to adidas. i'm glad he came out on social media to complain. also surprised at how they force boots down on top player like Son (golden boot, puskas) instead of tailoring to their needs

I'm well into this stuff, thanks for posting...

I know it's become an accepted truth amongst some that he's lost a yard of pace. He seemed pretty quick to me for his goal today. Think it helps if we don't take forever moving the ball upfield when we attack. Letting the opposition players form trenches in their box.

I love Sonny because he has the awareness to know he got to where he did through hard work and the sacrifice of others, he holds that standard for everyone else, and despite all that, he's still a happy and kind dude. He's not a drill sergeant-type leader, although he's not afraid to tell teammates when they need to step it up. He's the leader that also encourages and sets an example.

It's no surprise that a lot of Koreans became fans of Spurs after Sonny joined, but I can safely say that I was one of the few Korean Spurs fans that was delighted to see Sonny come to us (again, just because I'm American doesn't mean I'm not Korean).

Would really like to see him spend some time on the bench. He offers next to nothing and it's been going on way too long at this stage.
Too many touches in the box allowing defenders to pack the area instead of putting his foot through the ball like he used to.
I don't know if Odobert is the answer but I'd rather see him get a run in the side than sticking with Son.

Said last season he's on the decline. He can't beat a man with the ball at his feet, he doesn't have that explosive pace anymore, what worries me is he's captain so doubt he would get dropped....
