For those trying to justify these peoples actions, saying it is the work of madmen rather than anything else, bear in mind they were shouting Islamic slogans (Allahu Akhbar, or however it's spelt) and other such anti-west rhetoric.

Is it really any wonder people jump to what could be called racist conclusions?

As a footnote, have any of you seen the video now circulating about the Islamist protest march through Luton, where the former local white girl tried, quite calmly and politely, to ask why these people were spouting such hatred towards the British Police (burn in hell) and towards the laws of OUR land?

The bile being spouted in that, the way the girl was spoken to because she was a "non-believer", the refusal to accept anything other than Sharia law etc etc etc

Is it really any wonder people get riled and indeed take a racist line?

Would/could we enter a Muslim territory and walk the streets demanding death to non (christian) believers?

If we did, I strongly suspect we may get our heads hacked off. Pun intended.

Dale Cregan did not shout pro- Islamic, anti West slogans as he did it. Nor did he do it in the name of Allah.

He is as much a scumbag, but lets examine why todays events were carried out.

If my understanding if an ever changing situation is correct they were hanging about a barracks looking for a WASP soldier to murder, I know I'm making a leap here but he's a soldier, white and therefore non-Muslim (in their mind), he's fair game.

I accept I could have got it all wrong but that's the opinion the coverage I've seen has led me to form.

Again I feel sorry for the mud that sticks to the name of Islam. Just because the dingdongheads shouted out GHod is great in Arabic doesn't make him more Muslim than me or you. The two guys were fudging maniacs. Their motivations are misguided or simply delusional, as were Dale Cregan or any other murderer.

Where in the Quran is it written that followers of the faith should do this? It's barbaric. I'm sorry but the media have fuelled a lot of this hate. These men by their actions alone cannot be considered Muslims. And why should their mad actions condemn a whole faith?

This is old ground. It's been done to death, but the perpetual hate machine grows as each side (extremists who claim to be fighting and Islamic war and anti-Islam) just get angrier and angrier by what are so often portrayed as hate filled terrorist acts. Even if they are, they are usually the actions of a crazy few, people who are getting the reaction they so crave in their depraved minds

with the info available to me it's seems like a terrorist attack - now whether that's Islamic extremism or just a lone nut job like the Soho Bomber who had it in for Gays time will tell i guess. however targeting a British soldier and giving off political/religious soundbites narrows down the options somewhat, wouldn't you say?

Could it not be coincidence that these guys just so happened to butcher a British Soldier? - it could have been anyone no? Like I say I dont know all too much.

it doesn't seem that way to me.

outside the army barracks, anti government talk, making a show and getting people to watch and film etc - all comes across quite planned - charging the armed police at the end making sure of Martyrdom.

If it had been a Pakistani looking soldier with the same t-shirt, they'd have done the same. Probably been more proud of it as they'd have murdered "a traitor".

This was a hate crime.

Hate of what?...........well, not necessarily white people, more the western governments and those considered to be their pawns.

I think some on here are desperate to simply blame lunacy, so as not to stir the racial side of it. But what these guys did was vile and aimed to shock.


I feel had it been a white person attacking a non-white, or even any person committing a homophobic crime, the uproar may well have been greater on here, and more of you would be saying hate crime rather than act of lunacy.

No no no. The fudging images I've seen beamed into my living room today are unfudgingbelievable.

The guys responsible are telling it to our faces why they are doing it. He had no need of a balaclava.

Maybe you just do not want to listen. The guy today was filmed calm and lucid, and carrying a machete dripping with blood, and explained why he had done it.

Maybe I'm over the top emotionally with this today, but that expression has interesting conitations.
