Serious relegation fears

Well done to Leicester for being top of the league at this stage of the season. But somehow can't see them remaining there in May. I think their lack of squad depth and inexperience at being title challengers will be their undoing. No team has ever won the PL title at first time trying. ManU won it in 1993 after finishing second in 1992, Blackburn won in 1995 after being run-up in 1994, Arsenal won in 1998 after being 3rd in 1997, Chelsea won in 2005 after finishing 2nd in 2004 and ManCity only won in 2012 after being 3rd in 2011. I think the pressure to win will be too great for Leicester once they start dreaming about the league title.

utterly ridiculous talk, his agent says go here and triple your wages, you really think vary would stay at leicester, what would u do ?
Fair point. I just don't see any of the teams that can afford these wages making a bid, so the loyalty part would play in, if the wage increase is incremental.

Leicester still top, Palace now level on points with United and Watford, West Ham and Liverpool are all close to us still as well. Absolute madness. The race for top four is very unpredictable this season and every game is literally a must win. Our result today was huge.

@premierleague: #LCFC are the 1st team in #BPL history to be bottom on Christmas Day one season and top on Christmas Day the next!

@OptaJoe: 1989 - The only other team to do this in top-flight history was Norwich in 1987-88 (bottom) & 1988-89 (top). Crazy.

@SimonGleave: Please please please let this be Nottingham Forest 1977/1978 all over again. It'll get rid of my cynicism.

It's amazing what you can do when you don't have to go on a Cooks Tour every other week, ask Liverpool

Is that from today as Leicester are guaranteed too at Christmas now

Vardy is actually the guy that must move .. his career at top has started so late .. if there is any chance of a top club bidding for him, he would/should probably take it, those offers won't be there in 18 months.

Leicester will struggle to hold on to both Vardy and Mahrez .. United, Cheat$ki, Pool could also use striking/speed options, the bids will come ..

Good run from them, but smart money says 6th-8th by time its all done ...

Arsenal - City on Monday.

Liverpool - Leicester, Man Utd - Chelsea, Leicester - Emirates Marketing Project over xmas.

Just need to do our job, oh crap.

I wouldn't mind a Southampton reaction against the Arse either.

Would you have believed it if someone had told you that despite an epic 14-game unbeaten run, at Christmas we'd be behind Leicester and Watford (assuming they hang on vs. Liverpool) and level on points with Palace, all while being above Chelsea and Man U?

What a wacky first half....

We'll still be ahead of Watford if they win, hope they do.
