Season Ticket Renewal Talk

The exchange has certainly not been very effective at selling tickets this season, presumably due to our abysmal form. I’m not sure that the ‘members only’ will be a good move but I suppose we wait and see.

I didn’t see anything about dynamic QR codes on the website: is there any information on the implementation of this system?

Fair play on freezing pricing and rolling back to a degree on the senior concessions.

1) Ticket Share can now only be done to Members - that won’t be so popular.

No Auto cup scheme going forward (so no extra 10 LPs).

2) No more selling/sharing a Cat A ticket and getting a Cat A refund - refunds now 1/19th of ST value for each match.

And an olive branch to ROTS and others trying to find ways to improve the atmosphere.

Good moves by the club at an initial glance.
Are you having a fvckin' laugh?

I travel down, from Leeds, to every single home game, as I will today. Cost? 60 - 70 quid, with a Senior RailCard. Spend at least 30 quid in the ground and 150 plus per season in the shop.
Used to go to away ("home" for me) games as well, until the 30 quid ceiling meant this became a closed shop for the chosen few.
Now I'm looking at being on another waiting list for a "Senior Concession" (we have agreed that there should be ongoing availability of new Senior Concession Season Tickets for future seasons "within the parameters of the current balance of tickets" - WTF does that mean? Don't worry you'll probably be dead before you qualify?).
Having to apply for my seat for cup games (which I've previously always automatically had the money taken out of my account for - as per today).
Being threatened with losing my seat, which was specifically chosen for the atmosphere (South Lower 254 "Safe Standing"), because I'm not in the "ROTS Choir" (Who the fvck are they anyway!?!) .

Point (1) I agree with. Although I always use my ticket.
Point (2) I wasn't aware I would get anything other than 1/19th of the value.

Overall this has got fvck all to do with "valued loyalty" or "atmosphere" this is about the bottom line. When the ground is full of tourists filming set pieces or taking selfies, they may wake up to the fact that this is not what a football club ("Brand") is all about, or its main selling point.

Oops. Sorry @mephitis , didn’t mean to cause offence!

As I understood it, there were to be no new Senior Concessions at all after this season anyway, and existing ones were to be phased out over a few seasons. So the club have rowed back on that a bit, agreeing to offer new Senior Concessions, but only in the same numbers as currently available, so if we have an increasingly aging ST holder fan base there will be more Seniors than available Concessions, hence longevity of holding a ST becomes a qualifying criteria. It’s certainly not perfect but is at least movement from the club to partially restore the scheme, which I see as a step in the right direction.
What I hadn’t appreciated in the initial read through is that the qualifying age will now match the State Pension Age, so that will mean a longer wait for some.

Agree about the inconvenience of removing the auto cup scheme. I wouldn’t have minded if they kept it but removed the extra LPs, just for the convenience. It used to be that once on the auto scheme you had to buy the ticket and were stuck with it if you couldn’t attend. Last season (I think) the club changed the rule and allowed Ticket Share (and Ticket Exchange if the game sold out) to auto cup scheme members. Now it sounds like that was being abused so we all lose the convenience. If they removed the LPs the number of people on the scheme would drop substantially is my guess, so would also be easier to manage.

ROTS is the Return of the Shelf twitter handle for the guy trying to get a singing section in the South stand, along with the Flag people and some others. What they fail to grasp is that people like yourselves have paid for a seat they chose and can’t/shouldn’t be forced to move.

No offence taken GL (must remember not to post @ 01:34 going forward ;))
You seem to have a better handle on this. As as current "Senior Concession" holder (who qualifies on age) does this mean I keep this or am I going to have to join a waiting list (ST Holder since we first moved to Wembley)?
I assume we'll be given a window of opportunity to book our seat for cup games, so probably won't be all that arduous doing so. As we all know, the LPs are inconsequential now, as it's a closed shop.(12:30 kick-offs at St James' Park and the occasional League Cup game in Darkest Lancashire seem to be all thats available).
Being in Section 254 immediately behind the goal, I am worried about this ROTS Choir thing though. We're quite vocal enough where I stand, thank you very much! And I refuse to wear a black shirt and to jump up & down in unison with some random with a drum
Anyway, enough already. I've got a train to catch...........

Anyone who has a concession already based on previous qualifying criteria should not lose it under any new policy. Agree there seems to be a number of things to be clarified - which tbh the FAB and the Trust should have been pushing for before the announcement was made

Away tickets remains an issue - although just to rub salt into the wound, I’ve managed to get a ticket for Chavs away for the first time. It can be done, but I think realistically only with a few European aways which have been 5 points a piece.

Hope tonight is a good one and worthy of your journey.
