You're allowed to get carried away for tonight, can go back to being sensible tomorrow
I'm a couple drinks short of getting carried away

Would be typical Levy (and Spurs) to go through a who’s who list of managers only to find the one that works already here.
Good start and he certainly injected som fire and fight into the team, hope it lasts.
Our two greatest ever managers - Nicholson and Burkinshaw, both stepped up from assistant/reserves
Not really. The club werent going to give Burky the gig because he wasnt a name. But the player committee said they enjoyed his training and ask the chairman to give him a gothe game was completely different then
The difference being, Kompany and Carrick were involved in title winning teams, they were in dressing rooms with serial winners. Not really. Mason is just Kompany, Carrick or Slot, but with a bit more elite league experience
Most top managers were mediocre/lower league players. Top players find it hard to develop those who dont find the game as easy as they didThe difference being, Kompany and Carrick were involved in title winning teams, they were in dressing rooms with serial winners.
They've all now actually managed a side for a season. There is some sort of record to look at and analyse. Mason would be a massive gamble. He'd have to really impress in these 10 games to be given the chance long term. Not really. The club werent going to give Burky the gig because he wasnt a name. I believe he will be a highly successful manager in future. He’s worked with top coaches and likely learned from Poch, Mourinho and Conte, and whilst I didn’t like the latter two, Mason likely has developed from this and comes across well in interviews and had us playing better tonight. I do think he needs more experience. So the question is where does he go from the end of this season?
I think he owes it to himself to find a permanent managerial role where he can be the main man for at least a season, further learn in the role and continue to develop his skills. In future perhaps and hopefully he will do enough to then return back to us as our permanent manager when the time arises. But I’m not sure that the time is now. Give it a couple of seasons or so.
Interesting question
- He's obviously getting a good learning experience with the club, under a range of managers
- He will probably need to get some real experience before he would get the gig with us.
Question is does he go next season or spend another couple of years with us learning more?

Carrick tier 2?? He was caretaker at Utd for a bit, similar to Mason. Slot is also in the top tier of Dutch football, hardly tier 3. Each one of those as well have built teams, something Mason has yet to prove.Mason - 8 games at tier 1
(plus 85 games as assistant, tier 1)
Kompany - 51 games at tier 2 + 95 games at tier 3
Carrick - 29 games at tier 2
(plus 192 games as assistant, tier 1)
Slot - 155 games at tier 3
The Juplier Lge and the Eredivisie as tier 3?! Don't be ridiculous.Mason - 8 games at tier 1

this another gutter special? In other words more unrealistic completely biased drivel.
I think Mason has a bright future, but he needs some experience of moulding a team in his image before he is ready for a top tier gig
Yea agreed, I just meant if he is counting masons caretaker games as tier 1, can’t ignore Carricks at UnitedCurrently managing Middlesbrough. And rather well.

They are at least on par with the championship and at the top end are mid table prem level.
It will all end in tiers.Mason - 8 games at tier 1
