Roberto De Zerbi *OFFICIAL*

I get where you're coming from regarding not wanting to go through the whole quantity thing which I agree with but I'd argue we need both quality and because of how much quality is needed we need quantity as well sadly.

It's unrealistic to expect it all to happen in one window or even one season so I have patience in that regard, 3 quality starters and a top 8 finish would be a good start. Then the following year attack whatever holes we can't plug this season.

We actually did have quite a few in Ange's first season. If you recall after the first 10 games we had the whole Romero and VDV missing portions, the start of Udogie's never fitness. Maddison went down as well and never got back up to that start of the season form. Richy was in and out as usual, Bentancur was out for a lengthy time and lots of other injuries. It wasn't quite as bad as the next season but it was still one of the worst (if not the worst) injury records of the PL teams that season
Well yeah this is Spurs, I'm not expecting injuries to disappear :D But no Europe certainly doesn't take its toll on the squad the same way fitness wise, and also has other benefits for the league campaign. Let's hope it's in the Premier League...

Aye but I get it, he has no real options. He's making the subs because he feels he has to, but he doesn't really believe in the subs so he's hedging a bit to see if that starting 11 can eeke out the result.

I get it a bit too, but for me it's been about changing the energy on the pitch in the last two games. We saw it lift considerably last night as soon as the changes were made. Unfortunately they obviously happened just after the second Chelsea goal, so a bit late.

I would have liked to have seen Souza come on for Muani or Richy (and move Muani central) I agree it could have probably happened a few minutes earlier but alas this is the problem when you are working with poor quality tools, every misstep, every hesitation can be very costly. Our players allow us no room for contemplation because they will make a mistake and fudge up.

If we can’t beat Everton at home in our biggest game in premier league history then we deserve to go down.
Yes, and a draw will do. It’s in our own hands. But there’s something about that which is nagging me and I can’t place what it is.

Depends how we approach the game.

West Ham can throw caution to the wind a bit. They’ve nothing to lose, they can go for it if their manager wants to.

If we play the occasion rather than the game, we’re stuck between trying to win a game of football like you normally would and holding on to what we have.

If the tide turns, with West Ham ahead and us behind, it’ll feel like momentum and fate are against us.

Sunday is as much about psychology and mental strength as anything else. RDZ will earn his corn by getting these players to tune out all the external noise and get them focused on worrying about the things they can control.

I’d much rather be in our position but our position is still very precarious.

One thing you can absolutely guarantee is West Ham will score first.

It’s like it’s written in law at this point. Chances are West Ham score first and Everton score second… it’s what happens from there that’s important.

What always happens in these final day events is that there are swings and drama. You seldom get both results going as expected from the get go - It is highly unlikely Spurs are going to score first and stroll off into the sunset (not that we ever do these days anyway). In a weird way I would be a little worried if we score first (unless it's fairly late into the second half) as I know there will be more twist and turns to come....

Anything can happen... football has always shown us that.
