Looking at our upcoming games and seeing our results from the corresponding fixtures last season worries me. We need to get a lot of points on board as the next batch of six includes Arsenal, Chelsea and ManU away.

4 out of 4 results the same, 3 out of 4 identical scorelines to last season. How boring :)
 
Let Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United, fear visits from us, not the other way around. After all, not as if any of the others have been particularly impressive this season & we're in the best shape that we've been in for some time. I am very happy with our squad depth, and quality. I think we couldn't have a better manager in place and it's time that all opponents looked at the fixture lists and started to dread the day that they meet us. I truly believe we are on the cusp of greatness. And I'm loving every moment!
 
Very early days, of course, but nice to note that our defence is the meanest in the league again at the moment.

City are the only side that has been impressive for me. We have just gone about our business quietly and effectively with no hype or pomp and it's great that all the focus is on everyone else now with the pressure that brings

We're the toughest team to beat in this league IMO and that's a great starting point

Without doubt, City are impressive but they too have their vulnerabilities. I think they want to be open & expansive and attack, I'm not convinced that that tactic will always be successful in the Premier League, especially as I don't trust City defensively.

City's tactics work if they get the goals. I know it's sounds obvious but stop them scoring form there clever play and it will be interesting what plan B is. I know they scored route 1 yesterday but the defending for that was criminal

I also think that de Bruyne makes them tick and he will not play every game this season due to injuries that he seems to get a lot (because of how he plays not because of fitness) and I don't see them having a like for like player. They even play the brick Spanish right winger whose name I can't remember...

But there clear favourites for me for now but they also started like this last season and it's a long way to go

Jord, you say we have 0 points difference when comparing the individual fixtures to last year.

Surely you don't do that for all the other teams? Is it just based on "week 6 results" for all the other teams in your table?

It's based on the results from the same set of opponents, how else would City be 10 points ahead? ;)
 
City have played 5 of the bottom 7 teams + United so far. Anything less than at least 16 points would be a surprise.
 
Amazung to see us and Leicester are more or less on par with last year.

Doesnt fell like that.
 
I think our true level of progress this season will only be known after we have played Emirates Marketing Project. So far, we have beaten 4 poor teams and have struggled against the decent teams : Everton, Liverpool and Monaco in CL.

its Pep's first season - they will get better after they replace their creaky ageing defence, and can afford backups to de bruyne who would be paid enough to stay purring on the bench. i'm sure city will spend big in the winter transfer window - that might just give them the philip they need to mount a serious challenge for the title.
