He is probably our best keeper that could be considered a sub.
Could also be cos everyone else was brick.

I don’t think everyone else was brick. Most of them were decent keepers but all have had their issues. I’m too young to remember what Thorstvedt’s were. But I remember him as goalkeeper and he seemed to have hero status as ‘Erik the Viking’.
Back pass rule completley ruined him but prior to that he was probably a top 5 keeper in the Fooball League and top 25 in the world. But that was prior to the Prem.
Gomes, Robinson and Sullivan were all good keepers at their best but for various reasons lost confidence and fell away.
Keller was a bit like C rate a Vicario. Great shot stopper but terrible distributon. We had another keeper called Espen Baardsen who came in for Walker for a period that made some incredible saves but couldn’t even take goal kicks.
Walker was actually had great distribution and good at corners, maybe even the best of the lot, but was terrible as a shot stopper at times win poor positioning.
Cudicini as I said was probably the best #2 we have had. A step up from Vorm who was a decent himself as a backup.

Agree for me, Pat then Ray and Lloris is the third best i have seen.
Had we signed him in 2000 to replace Ian Walker instead of Neil Sullivan he would have been our keeper for the entire decade.
Had that happened we would have have won at least another League Cup in 2002 and FA Cup under Redknapp in 2010. Plus qualified for the UEFA Cup and Champipns League a few more times each.

Yeah I was a big fan of his before we signed him. He may not make as many spectacular saves as Lloris or Gomes, but I prefer goalkeepers to be more solid and dependable, boring even.

I understand all the votes for Hugo.
I think both Sullivan and Friedel were incredibly reliable for a short amount of time.
My vote is for Gomes though, as Gomes on a good day was better than a brick wall, we could have sent him out on his own and still have got a clean sheet.

Thorsvedt lived in the golden age of keepers, when they were all 7 foot tall with the reach of a world heavy weight.
He was brilliant, big, athletic, brave, quick to get low when needed.

Gomes at his best was the best I’ve seen in my lifetime. The problem is his worst form was garbage. Too up and down for me.

Again, total agreement. In terms of saves Gomes is absolutely the best keeper I've ever seen at Spurs, he was fudging ridiculous on his day. But fudge me he was erratic and his mistakes were comical rather than infuriating.
Lloris was also capable of a howler but far less often and his average form was at a very high level so it has to be Lloris with Gomes a strong second.
