This is pretty grim, he keeps saying no but I reckon he calls an election with membership of the EU or single market plus the welfare reforms from the reviews on the ballot before this kicks in. Most departments have spending cuts starting next year as well.
Welfare reforms were on the manifesto last time round and the party rebelled against it when push came to shove in the commons.

The triple lock is in sights now and that's by far the most out of control part of welfare.

In-work benefits should also be curtailed by raising minimum wage more

People can't eat acres of rusting tanks, that are obsolete before they are half built. That's what happens to defence spending

Defence spending should be repurposed towards achieving 100% green domestic energy. That would provide actual security, take us out of the influence of the oil despots
Let them eat tanks.

There are far more aspects to national security than just energy security. Food is a huge one. Defence spending is also, unfortunately, still necessary. However, your point about obsolete weapons of war is well made. The DOD should just ask Ukraine how to war and copy that.

Gamers and mini remote controlled planes. Cheap and dirty wars.

Big expensive machines and manpower are now obsolete

Yes so if you don't use much energy you save a lot of money. If you use a lot it's more expensive.
SC is circa £90 a year, so it depends on the break even point of how much they add on to the unit rate.(ie the detail)
You could get tariffs previously with no SC as they were beneficial for second home and holiday home owners (you know, the people that really needed the help:))

A first excellent saving for Londoners would be cutting the cost of printing thousands of banners, posters, stickers etc all saying 'Brought To You By The Mayor of London' every time someone opens a fudging door. They are brought to you by the Taxpayers, not by anyone else.
Probably because if people stop having a default position of moaning eg 'no-one does their job properly' 'they haven't got a clue' 'couldn't run a tap' etc etc...one might not feel the need to point out something positive every other day?

War has fundamentally changed. The ability to kill humans on one side with no risk to the humans on the other side is the massive change.
Furthermore...big machines cost a lot, and bang for buck are almost pointless having.

I thought they did say a few months back the MoD was having a reassessment of war requirements and strategy??

We get one of lowest state pensions in europe compared to our median wage. For that you have to pay in for 35 years to get it fully and work till you are 67.
Maybe start with not giving full sickness payments to crackheads and alcoholics. Or start deporting the illegal migrants instead of putting them up in hotels.

Ahh yes, the crackheads and the migrants, they're the ones causing all the bother, lets punch down at them...

State pension £241 a week.
New minimum wage £13.21 an hour. 35 hour week £462.35.

So the state pension is almost half the minimum wage. They still have to pay bills and rent.

But yep lets fudge them over.

*or be looking for work. You have 50/60 year olds collecting unemployment, who don't need it, just to ensure they get their full state pension.

It certainly has, though infantry still has a part to play. We haven't reached full-on drone-vs-drone warfare yet. 10 to 1, Russians to Ukrainians, is the casualty ratio in that conflict. Not confirmed officially, but ITKs are saying this is accurate or close to it.

I don’t believe that is totally accurate. You need two consecutive years nino contributions prior to a claim to get the means tested new jobseekers, and can only get that for six months anyway.

I had full new state pension entitlement at 50 but I forfeited a very useful 2nd state pension - which nobody ever mention- to get it. So literally no point me paying national jnsurance.

You can't claim benefits if you have £16k in the savings or investments or earn over £423 a month.
So not sure where this "don't need it" comes from.

actually Baz new jobseekers is not means tested, but it’s a miserable trifle - and I appreciate you may be referring or other benefits that i have little knowledge of.

Also you have face to face in person meeting at the job centre every two weeks in order to continue to get it.

How new cause last year I couldn't claim a penny?
Also isn't it universal credit?
