Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

Just too much noise around him now that isn't going to go away. More Sunday Times stuff today.

Yeh and as I said the other week, I think the point was made by Jason Mantzoukas on a podcast, that now Farage is established as a mainstream focal MP and leader of a successful party, he is now the person historically that HE would have taken pot shots at, instead its Lowe and Co who are doing it and likely he doesn't have the skin to carry on for another 3 years

I'm sure Nige is thinking 'cant be arsed with this,I was never up for walking into no.10, I've got wedged up on 'gifts', my work is done'

Yeh same, I have felt for 10 years or so he has never wanted to be PM
Far, far too much to give up and far, far too much scrutiny.
Whilst he no doubt has a craving for power, it's not the power of government-with-strings, it's the power to influence and disrupt, in his way and when he chooses - all whilst lining his pockets and having his ego massaged

Exactly this, he earns millions a year doing what he does and it comes with zero responsibility. Fair play to the bloke on one hand, become rich by part tearing down the country he proclaims to love, that takes some brass

Let's hope (for his sake) that some of those 'gifts' aren't from the Russians otherwise it might be the opposite, ie an early exit.
Mr Brexit has earned his roubles for that key part of the Russian hybrid war. But one would think that keeping the UK out of the EU is his primary mission at this point. Whether he would be more effective in achieving that in government or out, I'm not sure. When in government, there is the whole annoying job of actually governing, and as we can see from their efforts at local government, they are beyond clueless on that front. So I tend to agree he'll step away from Reform and set up a new company (insert joke about new party name here) to continue to disrupt and grift. And the same gormless marks will flock to his new banner, just like before.

Why are they all so slimey
I think it comes when deep down you know when you're doing something deceitful, insincere, self serving.
One can try and cover that up with layers, but the slime seeps thru.
You just can't be yourself because you have this other hidden (or not so hidden) side. You're trying to outwardly portray you're one thing, when inwardly there's other agendas.

It's amazing how the body can't hide that.
To use a poker reference....the tells are there.
