Is Farage MIA? He's likely no more MIA than any other party leader. The idea that the majority of MPs, let alone those with additional responsibilities within government, shadow government and party have time to respond pwrsonally to every communication they get from their constituents, plus represent them in Parliamentary debates and questions, plus scrutinise and vote on legislation, plus take part in Parliamentary committees, is rather fanciful. He's one person (as are all MPs) representing around 70-80,000 people. To an extent I agree, but I have listened to and read alot where his local constituents are up in arms, no replies to emails, does not attend the clinics, constantly MIA. I agree others outside that manor won't care, there are loads of thickos who will drink the reform cool-aid but those impacted will have had enough IMO. Does that mean he moves on, likely IMO, thats what all Shysters do, they go somewhere, use up goodwill and move on.
Also as the RW rhetoric ramps up even they have to pick sides and a line they won't cross, as its proven with Farage v Lowe, Trump v Musk etc, I expect there to be casualties along the way from their own infighting.
As I say, I think the local council elections will give people an idea at how politically poor and prepared they are, only so much "blame the brown men" that someone can do when no one is answer your correspondence on matters that people care about
As a new MP representing a new party that hasn't had experience of government, it's likely there HAVE been delays in responding to constituents compared to the incumbent MP that would have had a constituency office and a team of people working for them. Every MP is given an allowance to set up their constituency office and employ staff. This won't have been in place last summer and thinking about setting up a small business (which is effectively what they've had to do) and employ people and get through the inevitable backlog of correspondence (all without the established infrastructure and funding of the main political parties) I'm sure there have been problems. That's not being MIA. Farage appears to have been very active in Parliament and was actually always very active in the European Parliament when he was an MEP.
I imagine that the constituents that are up in arms are mainly the ones that hate him anyway.....
