Yeah exactly. It's fine if your waiting at football, but if your going to the cinema, some people will assume your meeting a bird.

We'll always agree what time were meeting, so recently I've started turning up later than we had arranged, but I still beat him there every time.

I think the person who keeps turning up late should attend early for a change, see what it's like, perhaps that is the only thing that would see them change their ways. Another annoying thing that hasn't been mentioned yet, is when you are waiting on a mate to arrive, and the time is going by, and you aren't doing much as you know they should be arriving soon. The mate then calls last minute and says that it's not worth them heading over any longer as they won't be there for long.... well, who's fudging fault is that? And they ensure that you have spent a wasted evening waiting on their arrival!!

Im always at least 20 minutes early to everything. Except when i go to WHL where i arrive at half 1 for a 3pm kick off...wtf

Plenty of time to get the beers in and soak up the atmosphere. If we're paying such prices for tickets, you may as well get your money's worth!

My girlfriend is always a little late for stuff...never more than a few minutes though. I just factor in the lateness and ask her to meet 10 minutes earlier than I actually want to meet her.

I think a lot of people have some mental block whereby they always think it will be quicker to get from A to B than it actually is. I don't hold it against them, I just laugh at them.

People tend to estimate time optimistically, and they also don't factor in "fudging around time" after every step of preparation. It's narcissistic behavior and they will blame the traffic in Beijing if they have to because it's never their fault. I see a theme here...:-k

One of my mates is so regularly late I've changed his name in my phone to Consistently Late Ross.

He gets stressed too when I confront him about it. It's ended up making me get to things late in order to counteract his tardiness.

I genuinely believe that 99% of people who are late don't care. Some people are wired differently. Personally, I don't like the idea of keeping someone waiting, no matter who it is or no matter what the occasion because I have no idea that person has been waiting for me. I've mentioned this and others have too, there's a theme of shifting the blame when it comes to most people who are late, there's usually an excuse.

Basically, you're a nice person, you empathise with other people, so you wouldn't want to make them wait

And late people are cunnts

A friend of mine is always 20 minutes late so we just ignore him - he just does it to get attention but all he does is miss the round

The misuses has a mate who is constantly 30+ minutes late and that's a different thing all together. A few minutes is the person being a bit of a plonker, 30+ minutes is someone taking the tinkle! I've told her that the only solution is to start going without her. It'll only take a few times of getting a taxi herself or missing out all together before she'll learn.
