Why didn't the Corinthians Director say 'Tottenham Hotspur', instead of 'English club'? its almost like he wants to continue our anxiety over this transfer.

Because hes spent a month negotiating with levy and is probably scared brickless about what hes agreed to. He's probably made him sign a contract saying if he leaks interest we get Paulinho half price and the soul of his firstborn child.

It's impossible to know from the outside why the official site doesn't have anything on Paulinho yet.

I'm guessing all the paperwork hasn't been signed yet. It's easier for the selling club, knowing that he will leave this summer regardless - and for Paulinho, having made his mind up and perhaps even signed a pre-contract. But we have to make sure that every dotted line is signed on and that all the formalities are in place, there could be some contract negotiations to wrap up, image rights, agent fees, etc etc.

I prefer the official site to be a little bit slow, but to be able to fully trust that when something is on there it's official and that's that. I would rather have every announcement be a bit slow than to have one in 100 announcements turn out to be not quite done and with a chance of breaking down.

I don't think so as we quite regularly get official news from the club 'pending a medical'. Particularly if the news is being released elsewhere.

The Guardian article, in the link on the previous page, said that he was traveling to London this week to complete the signing. I have had the OS up since last night, but it may be that they are waiting to do the official announcement until he can appear at WHL, in Spurs jersey and scarf, to do a little keepy uppy along side AVB.
