Pape Matar Sarr

I think he will be one of the main to benefit from Frank.........perfect for the style of football
Slight concern imo that I'm not sure a partnership of him and Palhinha is good enough on the ball and creatively.

But other than that he's definitely a very good fit imo. And has had a very impressive preseason so far. Lovely player who could go on to have a very good season of things go his and our way.

Unless I'm mistaken the AFCON has moved forward this year and runs from 21 Dec until 18 Jan. I have a feeling we'll see quite a lot of Pape from Aug-Nov and then lose him for the Dec/Jan period. We'll then see less of him until he has rested up after AFCON and he'll then be featuring strongly again for the last third of the season.

Hopefully Frank will do a good job of rotation and we'll see all our midfielders staying relatively fresh. I think we'll miss Pape a lot through the xmas / NY fixtures. He is such a valuable squad member.

I think we will see (unless we buy a 10)
Him and Bergvall rotating roles with Bentacur pairing up with them sat in front of Palhinha
A reverse triangle

Very underrated by many fans. Very good player, and still very young.
As you say, we'll miss him when he's away.

Really hope we buy a playmaking 10...

We will have a lot of games and the midfielders will no doubt have to work their socks off so will be a need for subs and rotations. The way he's played in preseason no doubt he'll get plenty of game time. For tougher games having Palhinha and Sarr together could make us a real pain to break down and we should be getting some real good turnovers.

But for us to be press resistant we would need a 10 that can drop deep quite a bit, particularly if it's Palhinha and Sarr.

He's not a crunching tackler more a ball nicker, which is great as it starts counterattacks. Too early to say but he looks more confident in the friendlies he's played in, the goals have helped with that.
