Seems like we are trying to get s head of the game for when all these transfer rules come into play and any new ones they chuck in. Build a team for the future today so in 5 years time we have a load of top class youngsters coming through to put with our already promising young team. There is no reason for us not to be the best team in the world in the next 5-8 years with top quality youth players coming out of our arses, whether thats to sell and make 100% profit or to bring into the first team.

We are just doing what we did before the stadium was built. Buying young promising players. Walker, bale, rose, dawson, lennon... some will work out some won't.

Yes he did, for me the team he put together in 87 was one of the best teams we have had. Third in the Lge, final of the FA Cup and the semi final of the League Cup. it was only the number of games we had to play at the end of the season meant the players were knackered and we failed to win anything.
Sadly because of things that happened off the field meant he resigned that close season. Some of the football we played was brilliant and players like Hoddle,Waddle Allen realy shone. Happy days watching that team.
Also the likes of bale, lennon, walker, dawson, rose... he'd have had a hand in.

Would not surprise me at all.
It was a shame that team won nothing and was broke up pretty quickly after that. Hoddle, Waddle, and Allen were unreal that season.

Indeed, our run in with so many games ended with us playing on empty. Something like 11 games in the last month killled us and it was such a shame.
