The last time it was good when under Jol when we had Berbs and Keane and we scored over 100 goals 2 years in a row
The atmosphere has been crap for every home game thus far this season.
And it was crap for pretty much every home game last season too.
Wasn't exactly an exciting game though was it last night? OK, we had two perfectly good goals disallowed but the tempo of our play was slow and Lazio just sat back looking for the draw.
I have been going to the Lane for more years then i care to remember and i agree with the OP, the atmosphere at home games is pretty brick and has been getting worse for years. To be honest i much prefer the away games, both for singing and support, there seems to be more "proper" fans at the away games then the " i want to be entertained phalanx" which attends the home games.
As i have posted here before there are lots of dingdongheads ( at the Lane) who spend most of the games booing and slagging of players as soon as they make a mistake, you very rarely hear any booing at the away games.
marky hit the tickle my balls with a feather. The problem is we have been divided for a while now. A lot of Spurs didn't want Redknapp at the club and couldn't get excited what we'd achieved under him. But a lot of Spurs fans did get excited about the Redknapp era and now it's over for those fans things are a bit flat because it does feel like we've gone backwards (mainly down to the departure of Modric and VDV).
I think the Berbatov departure also changed a lot of people's expectations, which is another reason I'd never welcome him back. That was the dawning moment for a lot of our fans who realised our club isn't as big as we think it is and that it's not a case of if our best players will leave us for a bigger club.......but when.
There is a third category, that is 'people who were excited during the Redknapp era but started to get disillusioned'...I am genuinely NOT trying to start something mate, I just think that it is not as polarized as that. I also think that 'generally' the intensity of polarized feeling is far less in the general populace than here...

Also, there needs to be more appropriate chants to other fans considering the average fan has changed from working class to middle class
Have they??

Does one's mater know one's here
Dones one's mater, does one's mater, does one's mater know one's here
It isn't - I managed to go to the youth game the other week and woke up the next day with a non-existent voice. Even then I was starting a lot of chants and had to get people going in quiet stages (dont mean to be big-headed).Could it be the Europa League effect, i.e. playing matches midweek and Sundays? The fans are less likely to have been in the pub socialising in the same way as at a Saturday 3pm k.o. That's been a feature of the last few seasons.
Rubbish. Most Premier League games at the Lane have a brick atmosphere as well.It was a Europa League game.
Thats why
That shouldn't matter. We played PAOK away last season and drew 0-0 in a dull contest. That didn't stop them singing, chanting and clapping for 90 minutes.Wasn't exactly an exciting game though was it last night?
