Our Dream Team from the 2000s

I think as most have said this team kind of picks itself but I'm going to be a little cheeky.

--------------------------Lloris----------------------------
Walker-----Alderweireld-----King--------Rose

-------------------Dembele---Modric----------------
Ginola---------------------------------------------Bale
--------------------Berbatov--Kane-------------------

Ginola left in the summer of 2000. So he technically qualifies and he carried that team at times and was player of the year.

I love Jan but Toby was a pure defender. Him and King would be an amazing partnership.

Berbatov and keane were unplayable at times together. Imagine him with Kane.

Subs: Vertonghen, Son, Keane, sheringham, Anderton, Eriksen, Defoe, Dele, Dawson.

I bloody like your style and did think that but was too lazy to check when Ginola left. Missed a trick there and would easily have him in my starting lineup now.

I would have to go with

Lloris

Walker
King
Vertonghen
Ziege

Eriksen
Dembele
Modric

Bale
Kane
Son

Subs would be Robinson, Corluka, Rose, Toby, VDVen, VDVaart, Parker, Anderton, Ginola, Keane

Lloris
Walker...King...Vertonghen...Rose
Kulusevski...Wanyama...Modric...Bale
Kane...Berbatov

Subs/squad:
Vicario
Porro...Alderwereld...van de Ven...Ekotto
Anderton...Sandro...Sarr...Dele
van der Vaart...Sheringham
Every outfield player is a goalscorer. Reliable defenders, solid midfielders, attackers who know how to put on a show with intent. No pussies, or flatter to deceivers (looking at you, Dembele and Ginola). Tough leaving out Son, maybe swap him for vdV.

4-2-3-1 is probably best for a lot of our teams

When I look at your team
- Rose is by far the weakest link (his peak was a very short period), be interesting that we have no other option
- I'd suspect the team would be better balanced with Dele moving to bench and Eriksen to midfield
- VDV (Rafa) has to at least make the bench
- Did you purposely leave Son completely out?
No option for Rose? BAE was fantastic, and for at least one season, the best LB in the country. I'd have him in ahead of Rose every time. Don't know why so many forget about him. He was usually steady and did his job, quite literally, but for one season in particular, can't remember which season that was, he was absolutely magnificent!

Sheringham left for United in '97

Carrick
Dembele

I think we've pretty much all gone for a Dembele/Modric p[airing in 4-2-3-1...I mean, in their pomp with that front four!!!!!

Be a very interesting conversation of 4-3-3 though?

Midfield -> Modric, Carrick, Dembele (who takes the ball off that midfield? what's our possession stats?)
Front 3 - > Son, Kane, Bale? (what's that, 80+ goals a season?)
