Even Merson has articulated our issues well there. If we can see it and the pundits can see it, have no doubt that the players see it. There will be frustration building within that squad. We’re in a very tough spot right now.

My only answer to that has to be the coaching. The players are actually supposed to follow some sort, any sort of game plan. That game plan may or may not have elements of actual tactics, which is up to the coaching staff to drill into their heads. I have reverted to blame the poor coaching rather than the manager who employs them, how reasonable or unreasonable that may be. As you say, not only grown ass men, but professional grown ass men who have been playing football most of their lives.

that he seemingly wants them to throw out so many considered norms is probably playing a part too

Are you referring to Romero as the other one? He wasn't rushed back, he's been asked about when is Romero back for weeks and has consistently said he's not ready but getting closer. Just because when he comes back he got injured doesn't mean it was because he was pushed into the side too early. Unfortunately it happens, and we are having zero luck in the injury department right now..,,
 
This game encapsulates the biggest issue with Ange and pinpoints where the blame stops with him. Park the "is is ENIC or is it the manager" for a minute. Do Chelsea have a better squad, better investment etc? Maybe. But we went 2-0 up and there was pretty much zero game management from there. I watch the Forest United game by contrast and Forest really changed the way they played through the game and really frustrated Utd.

deflections are unlikely to fall your way when they have a 3 on 1 in that area of the box

if we had had more bodies back there was more chance of us winning the deflected ball

ENIC are fair game for criticism but we’re 11th. We’ve lost 7 of 15 games. We’ve lost 19 of 40 games. Ange is underachieving right now.

It isn’t a sackable offence yet. He deserves more time but it’s impossible to make a case that he isn’t doing a poor job at the moment.
