Exactly. Man for man, our players are easily good enough to have won those games. It's the mentality that's missing.
We need a strong leader who won't take any brick. A Roy Keane type who'll drag his teammates through the tough games. Dier on form has elements of that. Kane and Lloris do not. I thought Hojbjerg was that missing piece, but he's been terrible this season -- honestly, what's happened to him? I think Skippy might have it though.
Hopefully Skipp can become our new Dave Mackay… as boy does our midfield need someone who can bully opponents rather than us being overwhelmed, as has so often been the case since Dembele and Wanyama lost their mojo
