Luka Modric
Our midfielders don't defend, they guide.
And nothing to do with Poch starting him in the first place? I’ve seen nothing this season to suggest he’s anything more than a defender with potential. He’s already given away three penalties this season which is a ridiculously high number. Can’t keep blaming other players....He’s a kid surrounded by seasoned professionals, they shouldn’t be letting him get into these situations in the first place, if he’s had a bad game that’s the fault of Verts and Hugo.
We should treat all our games as West Ham finals. That's the key to winning titles.Tbf they've done a "West Ham cup final" while we seemed to treat it as a normal game.
On the plus side they'll be knackered and we'll overtake them again on Weds.
I'm pretty sure we'll see a red card, but for whom?
He's brilliant and brick at the same time. He's not a winner clearly. Swap him for Mourinho every single day of the week. It's just decisiveness of their manager's part versus utterly inexplicable indecisiveness on ours.
Given how proactive Emery was with his subs, you'd think *he* was the one coming out of two tough games with Chelsea and Inter in the last few days. Ramsey and Lacazette, on at half-time.
Arsenal were already fresher than us, and more incisive - those subs just took it over the edge.
Equalizer, Ramsey makes a run, gets beyond the defense, squares it to Aubameyang, goal.
Third goal - Foyth makes a schoolboy error, ball goes in to Lacazette, he makes space, shot, goal.
And then we concede a fourth on top of that...and then, at 80 goddamn minutes gone, we finally get two subs and switch to three at the back.
Which we should have done long, long ago. And then we get Verts sent off to compound it after making three subs.
It really is strange, and utterly, mystifyingly inexplicable from Poch. He's a goddamned brilliant manager, but his lethargy on substitutions have lost us this game - almost entirely.
