Hope we win, not bothered if we lose.
I think many will meltdown at the result if we do, but ultimately its a PSF with a pot attached that has no bearing on Franks reign. We are also nowhere near PSG level.

Well I can only assume it’s for public order reasons but it doesn’t really make sense. When asking any locals about it they just say “because of the football match”, which I’d kind of worked out.
Mind you I did find a little bar tabacci place close to my hotel that sold wine. Not sure if they were supposed to or not. 2 glasses, €3 total. Can’t complain at that.

If we win, i think it will be fantastic for the club to win two major trophies so close together......
If we lose, its just another pointless competition when we should have been focusing on the Burnley game on Saturday.....
But either way, I am excited now and going out for some Gunness soon and then back home to watch it just like when we win the Europa....I will also be wearing the same white short sleeved shirt and navy shorts that I was wearing back in May....

My thoughts as well, the game imo is just to get good game time for the players against very good opposistion. If we do get a good result that will be great but its more about getting the system ingrained into the players. I dare say though if the result goes against there will be some fans going into meltdown AGAIN.

I'm bothered about it. Not the result as long as it's not an absolute embarrassment. But we should still be capable of demonstrating some good structure and some decent attacking play even if we end up being outclassed. Looking forward to it....

Oh I dont want us to get smashed either but it's very likely imo. I'll watch it, but if we lose I'm not overly fussed and will wake up without one of those "we lost last night" annoying feelings

Will watch but not massively bothered by it. Don't expect much.
To me, it's a European Charity Shield so pretty much worthless in the "major trophy" stakes. However, I've seen other clubs, particularly The Dippers, talk about it like it's massive so if we did win it, I'll be talking it right up and enjoying other fans' disgust at us winning two trophies within a few months of each other.
So basically, lose and I don't really care. Win and the upside is massive even if it is just optics.
