OMT - Tottenham Hotspur vs PSG

I reckon Solanke will be better this season but with Tel, i'm not so sure. A substitute player at best.
I'm not sure even about that. But let's hope we are both wrong.
Again if the board think Tel and Odey and Rich is gonna lead us to glory......then we have to look for goals elsewhere

He was the cheap option over Raya. It shows.

Doesn't mean he's bad - I think he's a perfectly serviceable keeper. But that's about the extent of it - he's not a Lloris, or even a Gomes with the ability to make wonder saves out of nowhere. He's a slightly shakier Friedel, able to make better saves but worse at commanding his box.
He is better than Reya

Just shows we lack attacking threat in top top European games

Loss of Kane and Son goals almost irreplaceable and Eriksen or Ali

Also at this level getting done by not closing down and smart play by oppo we aren't watching

Richi, Dom, Tel and our midfield better find goals and sharpish, we can't rely on just our defenders
Scored two goals against the best side in the world, would't say that we lacked attacking threat. Drop off in ability to hold the ball up when Richy and Kudus went off killed us.

New thing to say but the game turned when richi went off. We no longer had an outlet and they just piled on. Pens are pens, you win some you lose some. Good start, gutted for Frank that we didn't get him a trophy first game out, it's hard to win stuff and to get that tonight would be worth so much more to him than to PSG.

It really shouldn't be because the Europa final was similar.

How can he, when he dives long before the ball is kicked? All they have to do is roll it in the opposite corner of where he's already laying!
He's absolutely terrible at pens. Would be better off just staying still and hoping they put it centrally.

You never really felt like Hugo would save a pen (or even go the right way tbh)...I wonder if any budding statisticians could add data to support the idea that they're both gash at saving pens, it feels that way.

Hmm I tuned in for the 2nd half..Big drop off from the subs. Gray looks like bang average in midfield, but he'd look better alongside Palhinha, Sarr was brilliant. Tel invisible apart from a ridiculous free kick on the edge of the box and his penalty.

Disappointing, we can set up well against big teams and still throw it away, but it certainly looks like we'd also struggle against teams defending deep.

Still plenty of Positives but yeah, annoying. At least we were in the position to give a vaguely good account of ourselves before stacking it.

Wtf? Like raya didn't have a choice of what club he wanted to go to?

As long as we don’t let the eventual effect of the last 10 minutes get in our heads there are a lot of positives to take. We were excellent for 75 minutes.

I worry greatly about Tel. Would have put a lot of money on him missing that penalty. I’ve a terrible feeling he’ll turn into another one we’re struggling to shift in 12-18 months. I’m not really sure what he brings.

In fairness the two goals were from set pieces - however we did have some open play threat that wasn't capitalised on.

I don't want to dig into him but I really didn't want to sign him and now you think hmm that money could have been saved towards a better player.

A game like this it didn't really matter but we are still lacking quite a bit in the final third and against a lower quality team I think we will struggle to really create chances and get goals so we need to add actual quality asap.
If you could add 2x60m players would you go for Savinho and Eze or just one of those and a striker (I think the ship has maybe sailed with the good strikers for this window).
