***OMT Tottenham Hotspur Vs Leicester City (FA Cup)***

Thought we did the same thing we always do in games where we are in control, that is to over elaborate. Lots of pretty, but in-effectual triangles and then guess what...they hit us on the break and /or score from a set piece. Very disappointed in Trippier defensively. Surprised that he is so slow. Chadli too, always looks as if he's holding back effort wise.
 
If that's the case I stand corrected but i could have sworn they have been saying arms away from the body = penalty, see it given all the time - maybe it's a case of them interpreting these situations as deliberate?
 
The replay is provisionally scheduled for Tuesday 19 January at 7.45pm but is still subject to change for TV.

Liverpool U21s feat. Benteke vs Exeter will be played on Wednesday anyway, but I would expect that to be televised.

Yes - if the arm is in an unnatural position it doesn't matter if it's unintentional or not. It was pen but harsh on leisceter.

Also we can do well in this cup and people saying they would rather go out is over the top
 
Well, I for one didn't rate Eriksen today (goal aside).

All his corners were execrable, he was too slow around the box, and he gave the ball away too easily. Disappointed he wasn't taken off as Chadli had more impact.

We're also (generally) better off taking free kicks quickly.

After his goal he seemed more energetic and had a few decent deliveries, but in the second half it was the same old.

It wasn't a penalty seen in slow-mo - his arm went out to block Rose, not for the ball.

But it's clear why the ref gave it in real time.
 
Director: 3 out of 10. Constant close ups of Okizaki's barnet or Wasilewski's beard, whilst the crowd roar and surge and oh it's a goallllllll. Utter sh.ite from the director. Twa.t.

Penalty: Ooh that was harsh, yes he was going to put his arm out to make it tough for Rose but boy, was that harsh. Massive props to Rose for stopping and looking disbelievingly astonishingly amazingly aggrieved at the un-be-lievable events, forcing the ref to blow up. Like Roy Keane in his pomp. Come on ref, we're the big team, give us a pen ffs, it hit his arm, penno!

Corners: Please stop Eriksen taking them, Wasilewski probably has a better deliver, I know I do. Let Vorm take the next one. Or Poch. Or Levy. Just stop it Eriksen, stop it!

Game: Really enjoyable in a masochistic way, good stuff.

Result: Not bad, I get to see us play another game a week on Weds, happy days. Would prefer to have won, but not the end of the world.

Rioja: Very tasty, a fine vintage.

Team: Well played overall, yes their 73 year old striker Okizaki stumbled his way through, a few too many Sake's and he boz-arsed his way through, toe poked it into Vorm, got a rebound, punted it in off the post, chapeau monsieur, top trumps and le moustache bonjour.

Poch: Good team, played well but when there are 15 men on the goal line it is hard to score. Should tell Son to stay in the box more when he is the striker. And tell us to take more risks, man up and try a skill, beat your man, drive into the box, nutmeg someone, dummy someone, make it happen. Eventually Rose took it upon himself as captain to drive into the box and win a penalty. We should not have to wait for a left back to do it!

Eriksen was very poor. Chadli was rusty. Onomah was raw. It was our AM that was ineffective for me

Main positives were Rose, Wimmer and Bentaleb.
