***OMT: Tottenham Hotspur vs. Fulham *** Sunday, December 1, 1:30 pm UK

Calvin Bassey was really hurt today; he hurt himself lunging for the ball and was gasping and hanging on like a fighter in the 12th round, then Deki came on and gave him some digs. We could have done with a strong fighter up there, not Son.

Son isn’t the player people remember, at least not in a system where he is being asked to be more technical with the ball
I also think we’re seeing what we saw with Hugo… that club legend gate everyone remembers fondly have that final year drop off
But that’s on Ange for me
Stop playing him
Plays others who can run and can control the ball better to deliver what he wants
Son did put in a delicious cross when on the left around 80 mins but there was no one the middle because he chose not to play a striker

We gifted Fulham possession repeatedly, in fact I can't remember us giving the ball away so much. Agree that Son should have been subbed, and Jesus wept, what does Spence have to do to get a game?
Overall pretty poor. As ever we can look really dangerous in the attacking third, but couldn't actually get there. And I'm starting to agree with those who say that, goals aside, Johnson does little. But without his goals we would be ffed....
I guess we have to make allowances for Solanke's illness, and not having another proven centre forward to call on. I remember when we had Clint Dempsey as a 3rd striker....scored some important goals. Now in the new fab money-machine of a stadium we have who exactly????

Unbelievably we’ve got 4 strikers. One is sore. One is always injured. The other 2 aren’t deemed good enough (one not used today until the 95th min and the other on loan).

The squad is the squad. Club have opted to go with 6 youngsters in the squad, in which case it won’t be able to sustain any sort of injury spell (If those youngsters aren’t deemed good enough).

We should use players where they have been trained
Son was never a cf and hasn’t really played there for us except when we had no options
Ange had an option and chose the less effective one… twice
fudging mental and typical manager arrogance and also player favouritism

We suffered a lot at the tail end of last season because of fatigue, so you would think there would be more sensible rotation of players when we have Europe as well this season, but it seems like we're effectively running all our players into the ground. That's on Ange. I'm really worried about december now.

I feel like we've seen today's game many many times now under Ange. I still think we should at least give him this season, unless everything just crumbles of course, but if he's to keep his job beyond that he needs to find some consistency with this team. Hoping he can fire the team up for a cup! That would be nice.

yeah, but some on the pitch were playing poorly, or fudged, a traffic cone would have been an upgrade

a change might have helped, doing nothing would have.... er..... done nothing
I just don’t know what changes he could have made though. Deki was the only one on the bench you’d be banking on. Maybe Gray and Bergvall sooner but they’re young so they’re a risk.

I wouldn’t hammer Ange for the subs today to be honest.

If they’re a risk they shouldn’t have been purchased.

Werner off - error
No Spence when the right side were flogged - error
Maddison off at the same time as the red card - error
Lankshear 95th min sub - error
Only one sub before 82nd min when we’re playing every midweek - error

I’m Ange in but I’ll call it when he’s got it wrong. He got it very wrong today.

Spence could've come on for Porro, he needs a rest. Lankshear for Son. You can argue Lankshear is inexperienced etc but Son was shoking today. Lankshear couldn't have been any worse. It really frustrates me that it doesn't matter how bad Son is he will still get at least 70 mins and then start the next game.

Son and Porro were visably very tired at 60 minutes! Those two should have come off for Deki and Spence. Werner still looked to have plenty in the tank, and was doing well, but he gets taken off instead of Son. Porro also played the entire game, although everyone could see he could barely move after 80 minutes!
Ange had options, but didn't use them.

Yeah fair enough. I adore Sonny but he was dreadful up top. Everything came off him. It was an illustration of why Solanke is so important.

Lankshear is a striker, Son was having a shocker, straight swap.

Get Kulu on earlier.

Change system at 1-0 and sit in, get another defender back there and stop the far post overloads, start time wasting, more dives and tactical fouls, break the game up, keep possession rather than repeatedly trying to attack and turn the ball over.

feels like we've been saying that for years now

It's never going to happen under Ange. Doing everything to get the points aren't on his agenda.

Son has not really suited Ange ball
Yep he has some goals
He also has some assists
But he should have a lot more goals and a lot more assists
He looks tired, lethargic and possibly injured again
He always always puts in 100% but if you can’t okay the game you’re always gonna struggle.
Son at his very best was still not great at controlling the ball. What he excelled at was his next move

A striker
A striker
A striker
It’s not even about where Lankshear is good enough but more about how the team needs a presence there
Said it loads last year that we missed that when Richy was injured (and he isn’t the answer) but son has never been a striker

I said last season Son was cooked and there was only a couple who thought it then, it's become more obvious to people this season. I honestly think him being captain hinders us on a few levels, we need someone else as captain and him no longer a starter. How on earth Werner was taken off and not Son I have no idea.....

Porro will be playing mid week and Sunday against next week too and probably the rangers game because Ange didn’t put Spence in the squad for Europe’s
