OMT - Tottenham Hotspur vs Eintracht Frankfurt

It's more that seeing us attack with some kind of intent feels like a feast after a famine given the last few weeks
I thought we were on the front foot no doubt. I said to my son in the 2nd half - we’re controlling it now. I just wonder how much of that was us and how much was them allowing it. Will be a different beast next week.

Two well matched teams.

Just got to hope we can carry the competitiveness over to their place.

Deserved at least one more goal in that second half

I think it is all about our intent and confidence. First-half, especially the first 20 mins, we were callow other than you-know-who. Second-half, led by the continued verve of you-know-who, we finally started to find our psych. I think having Deki on the bench will be massive...Romero continues to frustrate the hell out of me. He has so much in his locker, yet he glitches. Further, as he has been given responsibility to be a playmaker at the back, why he doesn't occasionally pop a long one over the top to Brennan is beyond me. I know we have systems but he has on-field carte blanche from what I can tell. BTw, how did Brennan miss his chance?!!! Anyway, I am greatly encouraged by that...

The best thing for us would be them going for it more. Yes, it will be nervy if they go for it, but there will be spaces for us to play at pace into.

What was pleasing tonight was seeing some of the players whose stop start seasons have impacted their flow starting to get into their rhythm. Rodri, Udogie and Solanke were excellent tonight, in all senses. Vdv was barreling about making up 10 yards on attackers in 20 yards, Romero was imperious at points, and Porro and Bergvall would have to slug it out for MOM. Vicario was a spectator and both Son and Madders had the chance to score and were a threat.

There's some on here now that will be almost disappointed we turned up, because of the anti Ange or anti Levy rhetoric, but the truth is that but for the width of a cross bar and a keeper who had a night to remember, we could be 3 or 4 up going to Germany.

We're not, and that's a shame, but 7 weeks ago we'd have crumbled after conceding in 6 minutes. Tonight we rallied. Credit where it's due, that wasn't a team who aren't playing for their manager.

Let's call the rubbish when it happens, but also call the good when that occurs too.

As I'm sure others have said, how did Brennan miss that? Annoyed with Ange delaying the subs, we needed them 20 minutes earlier, and i suspect it would have been a very different story. Not too shabby a performance but we lack a cutting edge, how we could use a proper striker playing off Solanke.

A game where we were the better side
Conceded a criminally bad goal where a side knew exactly what Maddison would try and executed their plan well
They got the ball from winning it to a chance so quickly it was mad
We could have and should have taken one of the chances we had and that would have got us over the like in this leg

Nah, I'm not having that. We were poor tonight. A team with players of our calibre and designs on winning the cup should have sought to kill the tie tonight.

We were happy with the draw and it will come back to bite us unless we are much better in Germany.

Undoubtedly an improvement and I've been a big Ange holdout, but just because we weren't utter brick doesn't mean we should applaud the performance.

I was at the game and maybe I took on the dour atmosphere that seems to pervade every game now, but unless this was a step towards a higher gear our season will be over very shortly.

We can still do it though, there is a team in there somewhere 🙏

Probably...if your relationship with football is all about money.

No my relationship with football is supporting spurs. Have done for over 40 years.
I just want to be the best we can. Not settling for oh we played well or we could have done this or if only.

I want to see us be a fudging beast tearing apart teams. Being the best in the fudging world.

GLORY!

But you celebrate a draw at home and 14th place finish in the league. Be happy.
