OMT *** Tottenham Hotspur vs APOEL ***

Is that a serious comment? In case it is, we dont play with wingers under Poch and never really have. The out and out wingers which were at the club when he arrived, Lennon and Townsend, were shipped out (partly for other reasons I accept) and we've signed players who player more narrow in attacking areas - Son, Lamela, Eriksen, Dele etc. Our wing backs also use that wide attacking space so having GKN take it up works against us and playing with a left winger but not a right winger creates an imbalance
Still don't see the problem... GKN wanders around like everyone else out there. Dele has played left, middle and defensive mid so far. Sissoko defensive mid, right mid, left mid. Only the back four, Winks and Llorente seem to stay put.
Is GKN an out and out winger? Hardly seen him play so I really don't know. Henry used to hug the sideline at Barca, Neymar too, does that make them wingers?

Have no problem with players wandering about, but GKN doesnt really do that. He takes up positions on the touchline the majority of the time which as I said above, I think works against us. Henry, Neymar etc do drift wide to find the ball, but also play centrally and look for it there

Seems Poch has been getting the ump with GKN. Very much doubt we will see him again after tonight.

Foryth impressive...for a 16 year old!

Son, Llorente, Aurier linking up well. Not flowing for Alli yet. It's harsh to judge when players don't get a run of games, but it could be the end of GNK. Not sure he's shown Poch anything so far. He's stronger than Edwards, but would prefer to see Edwards or another youngster out there. GNK needs games, and its not going to happen with us.

So if the current results hold, we'll be the team with the most points in the group stage. Should count towards a one-goal advantage prior to kickoff in the next stage, no?

As i stated earlier, this game could be massive in restoring some verve and belief to the squad. Let's smash em real good and use this to get back to winning ways in the league.

Our 'weak' second string have looked excellent tonight. Great showing from Llorente and Winks in particular.

I do like Foyth alot too.

Watching the replay of our second goal. We need to do more of this against teams that park the bus.

Foyth’s distribution is as good as Toby’s, seriously. I just don’t totally trust him as a defender yet.

Good performance from the rest of the team though. There’s a lot more running at the opposition and getting time to commit. We should see this more with Lamela back in the first team and obviously GKN and Son are doing it well tonight. Side note - I don’t think GK as a typical winger hinders us at all, Rose has got around the outside of him plenty of times already.

Fernando looking classy. Son looking great. Lovely crossing from Aurier. Sissoko looking like a physical beast and is confident in his passing.
