OMT *** Tottenham Hotspur vs AFC Richmond/Crystal Palace - Sunday 27th October 14:00 ***

Jurgen the German

Erik Thorstvedt
Venue: Nelson Road AKA The Dog Pound/Selhurst Park

Vicario

Porro Romero VDV Udogie

Bissouma Maddison Kulu

Johnson Solanke Moore
2:1 Spurs. Solanke and Kulu with the goals. Always a tough fixture this one. Son is out of the game so I’d start Moore for this one as he deserves it.

I wonder if Udogie can play 3 games in a week....hope so as he's needed big time for the upcoming games...as frustrating as he can be at times..

If not, we might have to play MVDV at left-back and Dragusin and Romero in the centre for this or any of the next 2 fixtures afterwards.

Shame Sonny is out as he has a great records vs Palace.

Am hoping we keep another clean sheet and have Solanke and Johnson amongst the goals again (of course, if we keep a clean sheet and score at least one i couldn't give a bleep who the scorer(s) is/are)

Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace are set to face off in a Premier League London derby on October 27, 2024, at Selhurst Park1. Here's a brief preview:

Tottenham Hotspur

  • Form: Tottenham is in good form, having won three of their last four league games. They recently secured a 4-1 victory over West Ham and a 1-0 win over AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League.
  • Key Players: Brennan Johnson, Dejan Kulusevski, and Heung-Min Son have been in fine form. James Maddison is also set to make his 200th Premier League appearance.
  • Prediction: Tottenham is the favorite to win, given their recent performances and attacking prowess.

Crystal Palace

  • Form: Crystal Palace has struggled this season, with three consecutive defeats and no wins in their first eight games. They are currently in the bottom three of the Premier League table.
  • Key Players: Eddie Nketiah has been under pressure to score, having not found the net in his last 30 shots.
  • Prediction: Palace will need to improve their attacking performance to stand a chance against Tottenham.

Match Prediction

Tottenham is expected to win this match, potentially with a scoreline of 2-1 or 3-1 in their favor.

Team mostly picks itself assuming no fresh injuries.

I guess the players that weren't rotated mid week (Udogie and Maddison) are slight question marks. Could we see Spence and Sarr get a start? I would think most likely no, but who knows.

Then the left wing... Moore, Odobert, Richarlison and Werner all in contention in theory at least. Will be interesting to see what Ange goes for.

Want to see another strong performance. First, ever so small, test of how the players will respond to the Brighton game. A couple of wins since then, up against a "smaller team" not in the best form. Focus, determination, energy...

I would doubt Destiny could play Hammers, Alkmaar then Sunday, Wednesday, Sunday especially as he always seems to have a few injury doubts around him

If Spence isn't fit which he isn't not sure what we could do at LB apart from put VDV there

Think I read Spence is unavailable.

Feeling quite confident today, Palace short on confidence and not been great offensively. Good chance to sort our away record. Would love a clean sheet.

If Spence is close to being being back, I think we could get away with playing Udogie today, and then Spence in for a few of the games coming up.

But would depend on his fitness. If not, it will probably be Davies.

Davies or more likely Gray.

Heung-Min Son is unlikely to feature at Selhurst Park.

The forward was kept out of Thursday’s Europa League win over AZ Alkmaar – as was always the plan – after returning to action against West Ham last weekend, but Ange Postecoglou has reported that the skipper is “still not feeling 100 per cent” and therefore probably won’t play against Palace.

Djed Spence, who has also been sidelined with a knock of late, is expected to return to full training next week.
