*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham FC ***

Lots of things I could moan about from today's brick show, but a special mention to the absolute macarons in the South stand. Do us all a favour and give up your tickets so people who might actually support the team can go.
Mate you touch yourself you have your voice ... can't tell people what to do ... plenty of spare seats today in the ground so you can't hide behind that !! Said with all due respect. ... I don't boo nor did I sing about getting sacked in the morning... I just quietly left, thinking why am I spending 5k a year on this ...

I've got 2 if you want to buy them for rest of the season 😁 "very wierd, should say pay your money but changes it !!

That’s a stretch but thanks. Frank out I am on board but it’s loads of issues all compounded. And that’s why we find ourselves in a mess. A direction of travel for a long time.

I feel sorry for Frank. Its not all on him. He’s just front of house.

Frank has to go. Not because he is the sole reason for our malaise. Anyone who doesn't have a - Ange should have stayed agenda - can see that missing our best attackers and losing Son are the biggest pieces of this puzzel. The amount of goals and assists that Kulu, Madderson, Solanke and Son had last season....no manager comes in and 'just gets on with it' as some deluded fans maintain. Frank has to go because we are desperate now, but it doesn't make him a bad manager.

We might find Frank stays simply because other managers can see the obvious, and don't want to try to turn a second string attack into a confident unit. Frank has made some headway getting Tel playing better (I thought) and Odobert too. The two misses in the first minutes were terrible. Just undermined everything. Only a few yards out, goal at their mercy. Once they are missed their confidence in shooting drained, and we were just slogging it out.

Maybe we can sign an attacker, and with Solanke back get some belief in the forward line. Somehow we have to. Can't win games without an attack that can put the ball in the back of the net.

Club should do everything to get Alonso in. He might just be a masochists, here's hoping!

Agreed.

Frank has been dealt a bad hand.

Like you say we are here now.

I think had we had Kulu and Maddison we’d not be in this position. Unfortunately tho it’s been our direction of travel league wise for best part of two seasons. Since that mythical 10 game spell under Ange.

Ange was pony and Franks proven he’s not all that either really, bad hand or not.

Did you see the double slice from Odobert and Tel early doors? Was comic.
I did, though not clearly as stream was buffering, from what I seen both bouncing thigh high so not the easy chances you keep claiming they were.
And two chances at home in 45 minutes to a side on a terrible run battling relegation is not something for the manager to be proud of.

He was given a French international that went for almost 100m not too long ago and scored at a good rate for Juve last season. He was given a Dutch international who has performed well at CL level. A Ghanaian international he was so happy with that he willingly sold last season’s top scorer. He has a French international that he didn’t sign up to the CL squad and has basically only just started giving game time.

The issue isn’t even that these players aren’t performing because they need time to settle. It’s that they don’t remotely look like they have any sort of cohesive plan to play together whatsoever. You surely have to agree that 6 months in, if the intention was there to have some sort of attacking patterns, that we’d see it by now? They are not so bad to being seeing this bad level of output!

Frank didn't get solid foundations to build upon. Ange was all attack, and that attack he built isn't there for Frank. Litterally none of last seasons fowards or creative players are available. So Frank inherits a defence that needs sorting and has shipped lots of goals. He has to do the obvious: put in place a solid defensive foundation. And then the really difficult bit: try to build a new attack with inexperienced players who are lacking quality and confidence. Feed in a Tel, Simons or Muani into an establish attack, and they could do well. But without established attackers to build off, its a hard task.

But Frank isn't blameless. He has had to compromise. He's had to try and get goals, and appease fans and be more positive. That probably undermined the defensive. He might have liked to make us harder to beat first. Then develop the attack with better players. I think our defenders have scored more than our forwards? Which sums up the imballance, and the compromised squad.

With more time or a couple more senior players available, I think Frank would do a good job developing Tel and others. But now, with the fans wholly Frank out, and a perilous position in the league, it is hard for him to stay on. His only saving grace maybe that others don't want the gig. Whoever takes over has to get Tel, Odobert, Muani and Solanke putting the ball in the net. Would you take on that challange with no preseason?

I guess we have the CL to offer. And players returning, as well as millions in renumeration.

Do you subscibe to the view that players coming to the PL often need time to settle in? Yes/No?

A Ghanaian international he was so happy with that he willingly sold last season’s top scorer.
Was he available today?

Tel has played his best football under Frank, wouldn't you agree? Not saying much, but he's looked a whole lot better this season than last. Who cares if he is an international (he isn't btw).

All new players lacking confidence. Who'd have thought!

This analysis is too simplisic. Other successful sides play exactly the same way we do. This whole 'patterns' thing isn't the issue. If Tel or Odobert bang the chance in in the opening minutes, and the side start to galvanize and play with ballance and confidence, would you be talking about patterns? No.

Ange is a far better manager than Frank. TF isnt good enough for this club and where we want to be. End of.

Not a dig at you, and you’re possibly joking, but there will be fans of ours who actually think that could happen.

Give that three of our last four managers have been Nuno, Ange and Frank, it’s clear we are no longer capable of fishing in that level of pool.
And the two before that were Conte and Mourinho. If the deal is right, we're more than capable of attracting their likes of Klopp.
