+++ OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Sunderland 12th April 2026 +++

I don’t understand the lineup. Gallagher has been mostly awful for us. Same with Muani and yet they are both straight into the lineup?!

I don't understand it either.... Unless he wants Gallagher to sit in front of the defence and give the ball the Gray and Bergvall. I do believe that is the better way to play for them.

I do hope Tel and Xavi come on quickly cos I don't see much creativity out of Muani, Richy and Solanke. I just hope it's not long ball crap.

I'm pretty sure Gallagher will be #10, leading a high press. Kind of what Sarr did for a bit early season under Frank, just Gallagher is a bit less capable.

Gray and Bergvall will be the double pivot I'd imagine (they did that very well in some of our best performances - Dortmund, Burnley etc).

De Zerbi is a long time admirer of Gallagher, hopefully he can get Conor scoring goals for fun like he did at Palace 🤞

Another manager not fancying Xavi?
Considering he specifically mentioned him twice in the press conference for his talent I doubt it. More likely he's not battle hardened enough to start for a trip to Sunderland in a relegation battle.

I bet if we are in the PL next season he will be a big player for DZ, he's already said we aren't going to play the way he truly wants for this run in.....

He'll be given the opportunity but I doubt he'll earn a starting place long term.

Based on the performances we have had to suffer through this year please remind me as to which players who do look battle hardened 🤔
