It hasn't been often but there have been a few moments when they could have both been selected but Jose mainly chose not to at that point and then another injury affected one of the pair.

I think Hojbjerg/Ndombele/Lo Celso is still missing something, you want GLC higher up, but he’s the only one of the three that will get in faces and make the smart little fouls. You need a shutdown runner in there.

But they have been so bad when they have played together

I think the first time all three were put together in midfield was in a European game last season and it did not go well.
