*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Saudi Sportswashing Machine FC ***

The handball for the goal was borderline. But warning joelinton about fouls and not carding him for catching bergvall in the head was wrong. As was not giving Burn his second yellow for the handball.

Agree. The handball for the goal wasn't a foul - it was accidental and too close for him to do anything about. The lack of cards was very dubious though.

Think that result asks more questions about the manager then does him favours.

Shows that we can play differently and that changes tactically are not banned

I think that second half can put to bed any notions that Ange had lost the dressing room, brave battling second half.
Loved Reggies cameo.
I don’t think he’s lost the dressing room but at the same time don’t think he’s good enough. We’ve been mediocre for 12-14 months. A good 45 minutes does not make up for that.

He’s to blame for VDV and Romero because he rushed them back so some of the injury’s are essentially self inflicted. Look at Reggie for instance done ok since coming in but was frozen out , Spence too. That’s all the manager.

Bunch of clams the refs and everyone associated with Saudi Sportswashing Machine.

Proud of us today, we can't catch a break. Ange has to stay and get a full team back.

I hate Joelinton, every game he does something worthy of a yellow or a red with us yet nothing is done.

Dan burn can fudging fudge off the tall Aggy prick.

Refs can fudge off

Don't think anyone bar Werner had a bad game really.

Hopefully we can get some people back by the next game.

Again, refs are clams and should be held accountable for a poor performance. VAR can just fudge right off.

Everyone else thinks we actually played well? I do. Just want to see if I know anything about football or am in a minority today.

Agree except the ref did enforce the rules - it’s not a handball. Lots of positives though
I was mostly thinking about Joelinton, who should've been booked early on, and Burn, who should've been off.

IMO that was also a handball as clear as any, but I accept that the (current) handball rules are formulated in a way that allows for refs to let the play go on.

A simple and understandable premise for handball, would be to give a foul whenever you gain an advantage by the ball hitting your hand.

I still think Reggie will go on transfer deadline day. His camp have surely been working on angles for a long time now. No reason they would have stopped just because the transfer window shut in Sep.

Ange was saying in this presser that Davies, Romero and VDV all look like end of Jan returns. The good news is that Ange will be able to assess his playing squad before it's too late to release Reggie. I'd like to think if we bought another defender in Jan it would be done by then as well.
His camp knows financially it pays to wait until the summer. And with Udogie out for about 2 months he will probably have more minutes

It makes no sense at all to make decisions on the consequence, rather than the action.

The simplicity should be the same one it had for 100 years before the VAR pricks started meddling. Was it deliberate or not? Ball to hand, or hand to ball? That's all it needs to be.

Thought we played well in the circumstances and great to see us clearing our lines a few times in the first half to mix things up (having reverted to type for their goals though).

Austin and Reggie did well coming in, Spence can be pleased with his shift in the middle. Again begs the question why these players haven’t been utilised much more.

We really need to start picking up some points very soon.

I don’t think we’ll get dragged into a relegation fight, but I’d be very worried if we did. I’m not sure we’d have the bottle.

Another loss, but it’s a frosty sunny day here and I’m about to take the dogs for a walk while listening to the other games - so ending here on a bright note for the positivity police. ;)

He's definitely made some strange decisions around Spence and Reggie.
