I don't know whether we should get too paranoid about the pitch. The picture I posted was the worst I found, and sort of tongue in cheek. If you google their ground, most of the pics do not look too bad. Sure, it's not gong to be a bowling green, but maybe not a ploughed field.

Looks like the groundsman put out a few rows of onions to supplement his income, he'll have a nice show come springtime :D

Presumably not the same guys, even if we've played the club. I've never quite understood the FA Cup tradition of referring back to matches played twenty or a hundred years back as guidance on form.
Yeah we played them twice in the Cup, late 50's, think it was in following years, home one was first cup game I saw!
