I don't fear utd, I do fear the officials.Just realised United haven’t beaten a side in the knock outs that didn’t play at least one game with ten men
Maybe that’s key for Wednesday
12 man utd.

I just fear our own mindsetI don't fear utd, I do fear the officials.
Bookies make Utd favourites although that seems to be more down to volume of bets placed in favour of a Utd win.Well the underdogs do appear to be triumphing in the cup finals this season.
The only issue with that is I'm not sure who is the underdog out of us and united?
This. I'm 100% sure they will be handed some very, very dubious decisions!I don't fear utd, I do fear the officials.

Especially when you think how much FIFA must want Manchester United to be in next season’s CL.
Why?Especially when you think how much FIFA must want Manchester United to be in next season’s CL.
Why?
There won't be any dodgy refereeing but there is a definite motivation by the money men to create a competition that does not have the risk of the largest revenue generating clubs not being present. The desire for and continued attempts at creating a European super league is part of that and THFC are part of that. While we might not have the global fan base and revenue generation potential of Utd we are one of the top revenue generating brands in football and we have been part of the talks to create the ESL and essentially have a standing invite to it.I think they would want Manchester United in the CL due to the size of the club. I don’t think that there will be any dodgy refereeing BUT the motivation would be there to get United into the biggest cup competition for the profile of the competition and increased Global interest as opposed to if we get in.

What about VAR saying the Palace player didn't touch the ball 1st when tackling Silva as wellI thought the same about the cup final but our officials covered themselves with the cloak of ineptitude. Was the VAR graph disallowing the Palace goal for the partially sighted (PGMOL)?
I'm not sure it matters - it's basically a choice between brown and white dog brickWell the underdogs do appear to be triumphing in the cup finals this season.

You could quite easily see it, absolutely abysmal
Attwell & Gillet should never ref at the highest level again
VAR said there wasn't a touch thoughI didn't think the penalty was an abysmal decision based on Mitchell getting a toe to the ball, it was difficult to tell even after the slow-mo but I did think the City player was on his way down to get a pen.
