I just can’t understand why some on here were so happy when we resigned him. It’s like we’ve been conditioned to accept mediocrity.

I was happy that we didn't sign him permanently. Sometimes the player you want isn't available or there just isn't a player that fits in that window. Perhaps you're waiting for one of your own to develop. My guess is Werner is a manager's dream. Good trainer, good mentor for the kids and not crying like a baby when not selected.

Such a shame he's not clicked in front of goal. It follows the pattern of when he was a Chelsea player.
